Chris is joined this week by guests Sachin Latti and Seb Lavoie where we break down Matt Reeves' The Batman featuring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero. It's definitely a long flick, however, we found it was worth the screen time. We got to truly dissect what we liked, didn't like, and what we really look forward to heading into future endeavours of this iteration of The Dark Knight.
Sachin Latti has been raising efforts in supporting Veterans and 1st Responders. He will be running 100km again this year (last year he ran 100km on the 7th of November and raised $21k) for the Run to Remember. His run will take place on the 6th of November and the goal is to raise $30K. 2022 donations will be raised for Honour House. They treat and support first responders, veterans, and their families including our Heroes with Occupational Stress Injuries (OSI), with state-of-the-art methodologies. All events for Sachin from 2022 - 2025, are scheduled to be documented for the purpose of chronicling his journey to run across Canada.
Seb Lavoie is a 20 year Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veteran and former Divisional Sgt Major for the province of British Columbia, Canada. He was a 12 year member of the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team (full time SWAT) and spent 7 years as a Team Leader. Currently, Seb is CEO of Raven Strategic Inc. (performance coach, consulting firm, leadership training etc) as well as Co Founder of Sheepdog & Dogs Den Crossfit. He has earned a Brazilian Jiujitsu Black Belt and co-owns Ascension Martial Arts in Port Coquitlam BC. He can be seen featured in the documentaries “Sheepdog CrossFit Murph a Tribute to Humanity” and Survival TV “A Police Perspective”

Chris is joined this week by special guest Sachin Latti to have a preamble conversation about all previous incarnations of Batman! We discuss all the Batmen that came before Robert Pattinson, building up to the excitement of our chat next week about Matt Reeve's take on The Batman. After we have a chat about the various Caped Crusaders, Sachin opens up about his upcoming journey and mission to be a figure in the community with an aim to bring awareness and support to various veteran and mental health support foundations. We had a great time with it!

Chris reboots the podcast yet again as if we all haven’t lived through a pandemic for the last 2 years. To ease us all back into the…swing…of things… Chris decided to stick to one of the topics that he loves most: SPIDER-MAN. To help him in his quest to stay focused and not totally geek out, Chris is joined by guest host Arman Shergill. Spoiler Alert: we both still totally geeked out. There’s a lot to unpack in this one, so let’s don our tights and restock our web cartridges. Exelsior!

Chris chats about IT Chapter 2, the sequel and conclusion to the 2017 banger, IT. The film is quite long and can drag on sometimes, but is still enjoyable for the most part. That being said, Chris was a little underwhelmed with the follow-up considering how much of a stand out the first IT was. Oh well, definitely still worth checking out!

Holy Smokes! Chris has been absent for over three months! But he's back now, breathing some air into this podcasts lungs! He's been quite busy readjusting to a new way of life and it has taken some time, but the podcast must live on! Chris discusses what he wishes he could've talked about throughout the summer movie-wise as well as some television favourites recently caught up on. The main topic features a discussion on the new dark comedy/ horror blend "Ready Or Not" which Chris thought was appropriate for the return of the show. Check it!

This week Chris is joined yet again by guests Kelvin Hooper and Andre Garnhum to discuss the absolute mayhem that is John Wick 3: Parabellum. All three of the guys had a total blast with the third entry into this action packed franchise and giggle the entire time while chatting it up. Director Chad Stahelski totally outdoes himself by making this flick the most explosive, visceral and brutal one of the three. Keanu Reeves kicks ass yet again and Halle Berry steals the show in what was one of the best scenes of the series. Definitely check this one out! It is THE action movie to beat!

The Endgame is finally upon us! Chris joins the airwaves again to chat up the almost-guaranteed-to-be highest grossing movie of all time, Avengers: Endgame. Joining Chris this week are new amigos Kelvin Hooper and Andre Garnhum. This episode is spoiler-free until the 18:20 mark and then from there on out ALL SPOILERS. You have been warned! It was a fun one to talk about considering it was 22 films in the making, wrapping up some story arcs and opening up new avenues along the way! Out everywhere you find your podcasts!

Chris tries out a different format for this week by not having a specific topic of movie/TV show to chat about. Instead, he acquired the services of previous Armchair Reviews guest host Rob Carle to chat about their weight loss shaming competition and how successful the group of guys participating in it has been doing. Also, the guys chat about what they're looking forward to seeing as well as what they've recently been hooked on (Maniac and Love, Death and Robots via Netflix).

It's been one busy month for Chris as he rejoins the podcasting world after a month away from the mic! Chris catches you up on what he's been up to the last little while, what he's seen at the theaters and talks about the latest Jordan Peele horror creation: "Us". Does Peele suffer from a sophomore slump or does he deliver another knockout success like his previous "Get Out"? One thing is for sure, you'll definitely leave the theater with more questions than answers.

This week the guys talk about Happy Death Day 2 U, a sequel to 2017's hit dark comedy slasher fan favourite Happy Death Day. It expands on the original and just goes with it. At times it can be a bit outlandish but the movie knows exactly what it's doing. Definitely a fun ride!
