This week's episode features Holly Newman, Event & Outreach Coordinator, of Adoption Connection, PA. Holly has worked in social services for many years and has fostered children as well. Her passion and knowledge really helped set the stage to talk about Adoption Connection.
Holly gives a very thorough description of what Adoption Connection is and the services they provide: Domestic Adoption, Birth Mother Program, Foster Care, Statewide Adoption Network Services, Custody Visitation, Family Searches and The Community Family Closet.
We spend time talking about their news of a 2nd office opening in Duquesne. ACPA services a lot of families in Allegheny County and this will truly help them to provide additional services!
Our last part of the episode talks about two upcoming fundraisers that ACPA is hosting. The first is an online auction from April 8th-11th. Their 2nd event is the 4th Annual Tee Off For Kids Golf Outing on May 21st.

PA State Representative, Marci Mustello, joins us again to talk about 2021 and everything going on at the state government level.
Marci takes time to reflect back on her first full year as State Rep and talks about the difficulties that 2020 presented all of us. The last half of 2020 truly helped prepare her for 2021 and the light is hopefully at the end of the tunnel!
The large part of our discussion revolved around COVID-19, relief for businesses, vaccines and what can or should be done at the state level.
We finish up the show talking about the recent Governor Wolf Budget Proposal, Marci's goals for 2021 and the recent vote for a ballot item in the Primary election this May.

Back to back episodes featuring toy collectors and their YouTube channels! Elvira Taylor, "The Doll Circle" & "Hunting Nostalgia", joins the show this week to talk about her story of collecting, creating content for thousands of people and her amazing segments on Hunting Nostalgia.
Elvira started and created "The Doll Circle" in 2014 and has grown the show into a huge hit all over the world. Elvira has been an avid collector of dolls and toys since she was a kid ! Joined by a group of family and friends (who like her, share the passion for toys too), she brings a family-friendly, unique and sometimes goofy approach to everything she does. We talk about how dolls & action figures have adapted over the years, some of her experiences while hunting toys at local stores and her opinions she shares with her viewers. Elvira has a wonderful presentation in each of her episodes and creates a unique experience for her fans!

Heidi Bowser, Director of Membership and Healthy Living for the Butler County Family YMCA, joins the show to talk about how to make & keep healthy changes in 2021.
We start off the episode by learning about everything the Butler YMCA has to offer our community. Most consider the Y as a place to workout but it is SO MUCH MORE! Learn about some of the additional programs the Butler YMCA has put into place during COVID-19 to be an additional resource for those in need!
For the rest of the show, Heidi talks about how to make healthy choices and sticking to your New Year Resolution. Going to a fitness center can be intimidating and Heidi has some great tips to ease the mind. We talk about how important nutrition is and is just as important as working out.
Heidi finishes by talking about all the proper protocols the Butler YMCA has made to keep people safe and encourage others to join. There are virtual classes for those wishing to workout from the safety of their own home and the classes are taught by instructors from the Butler YMCA!

Jordan Grady, Executive Director of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, is our first guest of 2021. Jordan recaps 2020, talks about the start/stop caused by the pandemic, having to make tough decisions to keep business as usual and efforts the county is making to help our businesses during this trying time.
Jordan was able to deliver CARES Grant checks to businesses before the holidays and you can hear all about what this money meant to these people that have been hanging on by a thread.
We discuss the 2021 calendar year and what the Butler County Chamber has planned. Many events, some virtual if needed, but return to the normal activity is what Jordan is thinking. Mrs. Claus makes a return visit to the show as she's excited to announce Armstrong & Armstrong Neighborhood Channel's "Zoom with Santa" event on December 14th. This one of a kind event will take place from 5pm-8pm as Santa will be doing virtual 1 on 1 sessions with children. Each session will last 3 minutes and hope to have 40-50 children over the 3 hours.

Children can come prepared to tell Santa what they want for Christmas, ask him any questions or just explain why they deserve to be on the "nice" list!
