The Iranian war has not only caused panic in homes across the country, but has caused gas prices in the state of California to climb higher than $5 a gallon. President Trump responded to the outcry from citizens by stating "increasing oil prices is a very small price to pay for safety and peace."

Over the weekend, a new supreme leader of Iran was appointed, the seventh U.S. service member death was confirmed, and Israeli strikes in Lebanon have claimed over 400 lives. In a conference earlier today, President Trump stated that the war is almost over.

The L.A. Marathon welcomed over 27,000 runners this Sunday. The 26.2 mile trek started at Dodgers stadium and ended at the Avenue of Stars in Century. Over 9,000 first time runners and several Trojans participated in the marathon. We asked those Trojan runners about their experiences and motivations.

Thousands of flights across the world were cancelled due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East, caused by the US-Israeli strike on Iran last weekend. Nearly 20,000 cancellations left thousands of people stuck with limited chances to find a flight home.
