On Tuesday, The University of California unveiled its first ever system wide admission guarantee for qualified transfer applicants. Under the new policy, students need to complete various classes and maintain a certain GPA. Reporter Zain Khan has the latest.

There are hundreds of squirrels on USC campus, notorious among students for their big appetites and feisty personalities. If you look closely, you might notice collars on some of them. What's up with that?

The 2023 Selden Ring investigative journalism award was highly contested. This year 86 investigative journalism entries came in from across the country. Chosen by a team of judges, the Selden ring was awarded to Reuters for their work "Nightmare in Nigeria." Nicki Berelson has the story on this years winning team.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today that he would suspend proposed changes to the country's judicial system. Netanyahu's plans had thrown Israel into turmoil and civil unrest. Opponents say it would weaken the Supreme Court's ability to rule against the legislative and executive branches and thus weaken Israeli democracy. Across Israel, demonstrators took to the streets in huge numbers to protest. Workers at universities, in transportation, and in restaurants went on strike and called for more before Netanyahu announced he was temporarily freezing the bill. He told the nation: " When there is the possibility of preventing a civil war through dialogue, I, as the Prime Minister, take a time out for dialogue." Ben Cohen reports.

Over the years, renting in Los Angeles keeps getting more expensive. And today, a small crowd rallied in Santa Monica to protest in front of the Blackstone Group's offices, the largest landlord in the United States. Kimberly Aguirre reports.

The USC LGBTQplus club is hosting their first ever Renaissance Ball to bring a snippet of Ballroom Culture to USC according to their advertisement. The event will center on the Black and Queer community, and specifically the ways in which Ballroom has shaped Black and queer communities in the United States and Internationally. We spoke to juniors Alan Enriquez and Caleb Flenoury who will be walking the runway this weekend.

Happy International Women's Day! 

Today, March 8th, marks one of the most important days of the year to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all around the world. 

As Alexa Hernandez Diaz reports, women within the USC community are coming together to celebrate female artists and rally for gender equality through art.

In light of International Women's Day, around a dozen protesters gathered in front of Tommy Trojan today. 

And as Isa Johnson reports, they were demonstrating against Iran's violent treatment of women.
