Recipe:

The Arnold Palmer, a non-alcoholic drink made of iced tea and lemonade, is named after the famous golfer Arnold Palmer. The drink's origins date back to Palmer and his wife Winnie, who would make pitchers of iced tea for lunch when he came home from golf.

Ingredients:

  • For the Lemonade:
    ·       2 oz. simple syrup
    ·       4 oz. water
    ·       2 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice

    For the Cocktail:
    ·       2 oz. vodka (optional)
    ·       2 to 3 oz. lemonade
    ·       2 to 3 oz. iced tea
    ·       Lemon wheel, for garnish
    ·       Mint sprig, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Lemonade:

    1.      Gather the ingredients.
    2.     In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the simple syrup and water. Add the lemon juice, straining it through a fine-mesh strainer if you want to remove the pulp and seeds.
    3.     Shake Well
    4.    Strain into a tall glass. You should have about 8 ounces of lemonade, enough for 3 or 4 spiked Arnold Palmers. Keep the excess covered in the refrigerator until needed.

    Cocktail:

    1.      In a highball glass filled with ice, pour the vodka. (Optional)
    2.     Top with equal parts of iced tea and lemonade.
    3.     Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig. Serve and enjoy.
    4.    Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig. Serve and enjoy.
