This week on OTB, Stephen and Josh discuss the Wanderers' Match Day 1 opponent in the 2017 Asian Champions League: Urawa Red Diamonds.

The performance on the weekend left a bad taste in many Wanderers fans mouths, and got us thinking that the problems at the club are deeper than simply what's happening on the pitch. After airing our grievances (is it Festivus yet?) we try to maintain some form of optimism about the upcoming derby, with a bit of success, and wonder if Popa is just pulling our collective leg

That winning feeling returned to the lives of the Wanderers players and fans in the unlikely setting of New Plymouth, despite the best efforts of the referee and linesman to do their business on our clean sheets.

We're only one game away from the final derby of the regular season and we've got one hurdle to overcome in the Central Coast Mariners - but they'll be looking for their 3rd win on the trot so we'll be finding ways to show that kebabs > fish and chips.

A late goal from Brett Holman sealed our fate as Brisbane scored yet another late winner, which led to plenty of discussion post-game about whether Tony Popovic still has a place at the club. Has he got the full support of the board? Or will he remain at WSW?

We then move onto the geography of New Zealand and work out where our next game is, and how to get there - then, with as much confidence as Popa had in stating that we'll win this years Grand Final, we all decide that we'll flog the Nix

WSW Youth prodigy Lachlan Scott has scored his first A-League goal (his 3rd in competitive top tier fixtures at Campbelltown) and, along with a spine of other WSW youth, helped us along to our first win in what feels like a lifetime. And while Nova lost his lid, and the lack of EFTPOS facilities at Campbelltown was the difference between Kennedy having a delicious chicken roll and going hungry, the ground remains a fortress for WSW who have now won 3 out of 3 competitive fixtures there.

A visit to Brisbane looms, and while Lang Park is a similarly tough place to beat the home team, the travelling RBB will be out in full force on their tour of duty.

On this episode of ATB: Over the Bridge, Stephen and Josh discuss the January transfer window thus far, Wanderers recruitment as a whole,  and touch on the new 4+1 Visa rule for the future of the A-League.

While the Cove didn't approve of our new signing, Janjetovic is fast becoming an extremely important part of our squad, whilst managing to win over fans - if not with his football, with his million dollar grin.

After a somewhat positive derby result, we also look forward to our game at Fortress Campbelltown and hope to make amends for giving up a lead against the Jets earlier in the season.

After a couple of weeks off, the ATB team return to status quo - the squad isn't firing, we still haven't won, and now we're about to play our biggest rivals who haven't lost a game.

Another round, another draw for the Wandrawers. Some good goals, some bad mistakes, and a whole heap of barbecued meat were on the menu for yet another frustrating (and yet delicious) weekend of football for us westies.

In other news, the worst kept secret in the A-League - the signing of super villain, Vedran Janjetovic - became confirmed and he fired a few parting shots. Reactions were mixed but time will tell us whether he flops or fires for his new club.
