Around the Board

In this episode, we take a look at Wroth, the new game from  @ChipTheoryGames  and share our first impressions. Then it’s time to “Play Shelf Trade” featuring Small World, El Grande, and Mission: Red Planet—which games are worth keeping, and which ones are heading out? After that, we tackle a tough question: if we could only save one game from 2005, 2015, and 2025… which ones make the cut?And finally, we wrap things up with a discussion: are deluxe board games actually good for the hobby, or are they going too far?Pull up a chair and join us Around the Board!E-Mail us at [email protected] our Facebook Page at:https://www.facebook.com/groups/1374236329514579Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/aroundtheboard_atb/0:00 Intro1:50 Wroth Review2:01 Wroth Overview5:10 Kelly's Review9:30 Andy's Review13:02 Daniel's Review15:30 John's Review21:57 Deluxe Games23:04 John's Take25:39 Kelly's Take28:25 Andy's Take31:50 Daniel's Take38:45 Small World | El Grande | Mission Red Planet39:57 Andy's Picks42:15 Daniel's Picks44:40 John's Picks47:45 Kelly's Picks51:02 Save One52:03 200557:30 20151:04:50 20251:11:10 Birthdays1:13:55 End

@SamHealey6  from the Flipside of Board Games joins us for an episode that gets… messy in the best way 😂We’re talking all about crappy games (yep, you read that right), starting with a deep dive into the brand new title Night Soil. Is it surprisingly good, or just plain stinky? You’ll have to watch to find out. Then things get even weirder with a Random Task challenge—digging through our shelves to crown the ultimate “poop” game. After that, we face off in a heated round of Would You Rather, debating what matters more: Components or Art?To wrap it all up, John puts Sam to the test in a game of Board Game: Believe It or Not—can Sam separate fact from fiction, or will he get flushed?💬 Let us know in the comments: What’s the worst (or weirdest) board game you’ve ever played?👍 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell so you don’t miss more board game fun!Support our Sponsor: https://www.SaltLyte.com use promo code GAMECON for 10% off your order.E-Mail us at [email protected] our Facebook Page at:https://www.facebook.com/groups/1374236329514579Follow us on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/aroundtheboard_atb/Watch Sam at:https://www.youtube.com/@SamHealey60:00 Intro3:05 Night Soil Rules Explained5:28 John's Take8:20 Sam's Take15:12 Kelly's Take20:00 Andy's Take25:05 Daniel's Take30:21 Random Task31:19 Kelly's Pick31:57 Andy's Pick34:28 Sam's Pick39:02 Daniel's Pick41:04 John's Pick42:47 Winners44:29 Commercial SaltLyte45:33 Art vs Components46:41 Sam's Take51:44 Daniel's Take54:04 John's Take56:50 Kelly's Take59:57 Andy's Take1:02:49 Believe It or Not1:03:53 Game one1:06:41 Game two1:11:03 Game three1:14:41 Sam's Thoughts1:18:32 Outro
