This week we talked about the County committing to purchasing 8 acres, which will help connect a future trial from Oceanside to I-15. We also spoke about two important board items that were passed at the previous board meeting. Also, we were joined by our first ever guest of the podcast, San Diego County Accessor, Ernie Dronenburg! 

We started by talking about the horrific shooting that happened over the weekend at the Synagogue in Poway. Supervisor Desmond shared his thoughts and prayers for all those affected. Also, we spoke about three veterans bills that will benefit San Diego. Plus, the latest meeting at SANDAG and what's going to happen moving forward.  

On this week's episode of Around the County, Supervisor Desmond spoke about his goal for the San Luis Rey River Park. Also, he spoke about a monthly meeting he has with Mayors from the communities around the 78. Also, he spoke about a unique program at the Vista jail. 

San Diego County Supervisor, Jim Desmond talked about an important meeting that took place between Tri-City Hospital, Palomar Hospital and the County of San Diego. He also gave us an update on the San Onofre Power Plant. Plus, a look ahead to next week's agenda.

San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond talked about the wonderful feedback he received last week at a "Kitchen Cabinet Meeting." Also, he spoke about SANDAG spending $800,000 more dollars on Grand Central Station. Plus, he tells us about visiting Borrego Springs with his family. 

San Diego County Supervisor, Jim Desmond was in to talk about a variety of subjects including teaming up with Supervisor Jacob on pre-fire prevention. This weekend helping to name a stretch of highway after Cory Iverson. Also, as a pilot, what are his thoughts on stopping the Max 737's. 

Supervisor Jim Desmond talked about why he wanted to start a podcast. He also talked about some of the agenda items put forth on this week's hearing, including fire safety, a night budget hearing and revitalization committees coming to Valley Center, Borrego Springs & Fallbrook.
