Today, we sit down with the Holmquists who served as missionaries for 10 years, most of which was spent planting a church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They share openly and vulnerably about what led Brendan to a deep period of depression and burnout, how that affected their family, and how they submitted to God leading them back to the U.S.

They walk us through the faith challenges that came with leaving the mission field when they didn't want to, allowing God to lead them to a new season that was completely different than they had ever anticipated, and how walking through that period has given them a perspective in serving others in a way they wouldn't be able to otherwise.

This week, we sit down with Abigail Coblentz who is currently serving in Cambodia with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) as part of their DTS staff.

Abigail shares her story of growing up "always wanting to be a missionary" and how the road of getting to Cambodia looked very differently from what she had always expected it to look like. She shares fresh nuggets of beauty and wisdom for everyone wanting to support missionaries or become a missionary one day - how to appreciate different cultures, how to see wherever we're at as our current mission field, and more.

This week, we sit down with Jessica Bailey who has served as a missionary in not one, not two, but three different countries! Originally from California, she currently lives in New Zealand, which comes to a total of five countries she's called home, so far.

Jessica shares the unique ways and experiences she went through with each mission, and vulnerably opens up about a time period working in anti-human trafficking ministry. She also opens up about how so many transitions in and out of multiple cultures and focuses is unique and can be difficult to share with people outside of missions and military.
