Things are looking up at the Henderson City-County Airport! After being shutdown for several months for a multi-million dollar extension project the runway has now reopened to air traffic and Airport Manager Emily Herron is on cloud nine. Back by popular demand, former Henderson County Horticulturalist and now owner-operator of Day’s Garden Center, Andy Rideout sits down with us to share more great lawn and gardening advice as we close out another growing season. It was a hot, sunny Summer afternoon in 2023 when state and local officials broke ground on the first phase of a long awaited project to construct a new Ohio River bridge linking Henderson and Evansville. Fast forward to a cool but equally sunny November day in 2025 when many of those same state and local leaders proudly cut the ribbon officially opening Kentucky’s future access to the Ohio River Crossing. ORX Spokeswoman Mindy Peters joins us for a look at how this project, with its roundabouts and more, has unfolded. Just as important, she shares what lies ahead for local motorists.

We go straight to the source, owners Andrew & Meredith Powell, who let us peek behind the scenes on this project that has major potential for future growth of local tourism in the Central Business District.

Just in time for the peak planting season we sit down with our good friend Andy Rideout who is transitioning from life in the public sector with the UK College of Agriculture to now owning his own greenhouse and garden center.
