Feeling a slight breeze. The way it touches you. The way we embrace it. It's as if the breeze, the slow paced stream, tall wild grasses and trees are constantly communicating with us. And look at the way we treat the relationship. I'm pretty sure nature isn't as judgmental.

The answers are always one moment of awareness away. Learning to trust it by way of accepting controlled chaos is a step that's going to invite change. But we don't like that sort of behavior. The elements around you are brilliant tools to use not only today but in years that have long forgotten about this moment. Accept yourself each new sun.

The temperature of the atmosphere plays a huge role in the way we think, activate and recover. Weather patterns these days are just as confused at the mental patterns of the human. Learning how to locate meaning can be just as cold as a winter's morning. The body gets used to a certain level of heat then from out of nowhere you wake up and the entire day is based on the temperature of the atmosphere.

Those moments when you feel like too much going on is too heavy to carry. Breaking free. Taking what I call a transition walk. Your forest might be a city park or for that matter a downtown area blessed with cars and crowds. It's puts you in a place where you can release. To allow the elements of the universe to spend a few moments readjusting the junk clinging to your heart.

On March 20, 2022 I wrote about the peace, beauty and birth of a new spring in Carolina only to stop half way through the thought. What about the forests in Ukraine? How have they changed. As well as the writers and other creative spirits associated with what a forest invites?

An out of control spring thunderstorm followed by amazing rays of light. The first thing you see is bright red cardinal. We tend to ignore the messages from the universe the same way we push things into spam mail. Everything you need is around you. Clear your mind and heart. Allow yourself to receive.

As Spring was starting to take its shape in March of 2022 the writer took note of the entire forest. Not just for it's budding leaves and flowers but to document which trees didn't make it through the winter. Trees are like humans. How we reach beyond our limits to hunching over with age. There's a lot to be learned from the elements of nature. In all things present we become wiser through the experiences of other living creations. Even those who passed along the way.

Trees in a forest expand one ring with each passing year. What if human's could do it too? How long would it take for us to look obese? We're constantly shedding pieces of our lives. But do we ever get to go back to see if the dropped can be replanted, replenished or tossed even further away? Through daily writing I'm able to pick up such seeds or weeds. Being open with your writer expands your creative process while putting focus on your deeper more available purpose.

Five days before Russia invade Ukraine, I found myself sitting in a forest wondering how we'd react if our borders had become congested with men and women who wanted to take you over. The moment I was writing I felt someone in Ukraine was doing the same. Who was going to protect the trees? The cities? The people? On that February 19, 2022 the writer in me challenged the reader to locate where they are today compared to the five days before the invasion. What has happened to the forests?

The writer sat in a forest in February of 2022 sharing the experience of a 71 degree day. February! As August of 2022 approaches we've seen the entire planet infected by unheard of heat. The entire northern hemisphere has been caught off guard with temps that have rewritten the pages of history. Where are the answers in a changing time when political leaders still aren't confused that global warming exists? All things on this planet need to work as one because everything including a weed is learning how to cope with so much heat.
