But her mom (Ms. Pat) puts the kibosh on her plans when she heads to a much-needed wellness retreat in Thailand, forcing Tanya to stay home with her three siblings and an insufferable babysitter instead. Following the unexpected, and bittersweet, death of their elderly babysitter (June Squibb), Tanya gets a job working for the confident and ambitious Rose (Nicole Richie) at a fledgling fashion retailer. As if managing a corporate job weren't enough, she's also juggling taking care of her siblings - stoner/skater Kenny (Donielle T. Hansley, Jr.), neo-goth Melissa (Ayaamii Sledge), and precocious Zac (Carter Young), and a complicated romance with the impossibly charming Bryan (Myles Fowler). The babysitter's death also means the death of Tanya's summer of freedom. She's now left facing the responsibility of adulthood, making her wonder why the hell she was in such a hurry to grow up.

The book focusses on the history of the Royal Opera House and the Sadler's Wells company during the Second World War. The dramatic climax of the novel is set ahead of the first performance of the 1946 Sleeping Beauty. In 1945 London, the war in Europe is over. But for Briar Woods, a dancer at Sadler’s Wells Ballet, the past resurfaces and brings her face to face with the truth – and now, it feels as though her war has only just begun. Since 1939, Rosamund Caradon had taken in many children from Britain’s bombarded cities, sheltering them in her Devonshire manor. Now, with Germany’s surrender, she is en route to London to return the last evacuees, accompanied by her dance-obsessed daughter Jasmine. Rosamund vows to protect Jasmine from any peril, but a chance meeting with a Sadler’s Wells dancer changes everything. When the beautiful, elusive Briar Woods bursts into Rosamund’s train carriage, it’s clear her sights are set on the captivated Jasmine. As Briar sets out to charm them both, Rosamund cannot shake the eerie feeling this accidental encounter isn’t what it seems. While Briar may be far away from the pointe shoes and greasepaint of The Sleeping Beauty ballet rehearsals, her performance for Rosamund might just be her most successful yet. A dance that could turn deadly . . .

Every American president, from Washington to Biden: Their lives, policies, foibles, and legacies, assessed with clear-eyed authority and wit.
Authors of the acclaimed Killing books, the #1 bestselling narrative history series in the world, Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard begin a new direction with Confronting the Presidents.
From Washington to Jefferson, Lincoln to Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Kennedy to Nixon, Reagan to Obama and Biden, the 45 United States presidents have left lasting impacts on our nation. Some of their legacies continue today, some are justly forgotten, and some have changed as America has changed. Whether famous, infamous, or obscure, all the presidents shaped our nation in unexpected ways.
The authors' extensive research has uncovered never before seen historical facts based on private correspondence and newly discovered documentation, such as George Washington's troubled relationship with his mother.
In Confronting the Presidents, O'Reilly and Dugard present 45 wonderfully entertaining and insightful portraits of each president, with no-spin commentary on their achievements-or lack thereof. Who best served America, and who undermined the founding ideals? Who were the first ladies, and what were their surprising roles in making history? Which presidents were the best, which the worst, and which didn't have much impact? How do decisions made in one era, under the pressure of particular circumstances, still resonate today? And what do presidents like to eat, drink, and do when they aren't working-or even sometimes when they are?
These and many more questions are answered in each fascinating chapter of Confronting the Presidents. Written with O'Reilly and Dugard's signature style, authority, and eye for telling detail, Confronting the Presidents will delight all readers of history, politics, and current affairs, especially during the 2024 election season.
Combat chaplains wear uniforms, but carry no weapons. And their service can involve the ultimate sacrifice. For nearly 250 years, in every battle throughout our nation’s history, they’ve been there...quietly supporting soldiers while bullets flew by. Perhaps more than any other profession, diversity is their unique and inspirational strength because, while they may be Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, or Buddhist, when they’re on the front lines of combat, they support and stand-up for soldiers of all faiths...and no faith.
When the remains of prisoner-of-war and Army combat chaplain Emil Kapaun (perhaps the Vatican’s next saint) are identified after 70 years, much of our nation is captivated by their journey home. As a younger former chaplain unexpectedly embarks on his own journey to greet them, he becomes inspired by the untold stories of the 419 U.S. military chaplain heroes who’ve given their lives for this unique calling. As the paths of these combat chaplains from different eras finally collide, we’re reminded how the profound weight of history and the immense power of love can converge to produce a life-changing healing.
Fighting Spirit: A Combat Chaplain’s Journey marks the first-ever co-production between Hollywood and the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps. It is notable for having Pope Francis grant the filmmakers a rare preview at The Vatican, followed by sneak previews at the Army’s iconic Fort Knox, the Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles.

Christina grew up in a household always filled with music. From the moment she could speak, she was singing. Christina's mom fondly remembers her running up on stage at church to grab the mic. Christina has always maintained a positive outlook despite starting her life amidst tragedy. Her teen father was tragically killed in a car crash just before Christina was born, and when she was only 1, her mother also lost her life in a fatal car accident. Now, Christina spends two to three days a week honing her skills by gigging at local bars in her small town with her older brother, Daniel. While their musical aspirations differ, they both enjoy performing together as a duo.
