  • Singer Songwriter Darren Mulligan From We Are Messengers Releases Where The Joy Is

We Are Messengers expresses gratitude for life’s simple pleasures on Where The Joy Is, the band’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, releasing April 5, 2024. The effort boasts 10 pristine, arena-ready pop selections co-written by frontman Darren Mulligan and includes the title track, “Where The Joy Is,” lead track “God Be The Glory” and faith-affirming “A Thousand Times,” plus collaborations with Ben Fuller and Blanca. Serving up a massive dose of atmospheric rock, “Where The Joy Is” finds the group abiding in God’s presence — where real joy exists — and reminding listeners true contentment isn’t dependent on our circumstances.
Ahead of the highly anticipated LP, the award-winning group launched their next musical era with the 40- city “Where The Joy Is Tour,” the biggest headlining trek of their career.

We Are Messengers has over 450 million career streams, over 2.7 billion airplay audience, and a multi-week #1 Billboard radio song (“Come What May”), along with six Top 5 and ten Top 10 Christian Airplay hits with “Image of God,” “Power,” “Maybe It’s Ok,” “Magnify,” “Point To You,” “Love,” “Everything Comes Alive,” “God With Us,” “This Is Jesus” and “From Heaven To Earth (Joy To The World).” The band has had multiple sync film and TV placements on major networks including Lionsgate, MTV and CBC. We Are Messengers has played for a live audience of over 2 million people across 40 states and 5 countries, including selling out shows in the Netherlands, England, and lead vocalist Darren Mulligan’s native Ireland. Following consecutive USA arena tours with TobyMac and Casting Crowns, the band headlined the Wholehearted Tour in 2022. From March to May of 2023, We Are Messengers was on Casting Crowns’ The Healer Tour, and among festival dates during the Summer of 2023, the band will also be on the Summer Worship Nights Tour with Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake. The Dove-nominated and K-LOVE Fan Award winning group’s new album, Where The Joy Is, releases April 5, 2024.

  • Dr B Hibbs With Research And Advice For Parents With Adult Children Still Living At Home

Parenting advice is plentiful for parents with babies, school-age children, and teens. Once kids leave the nest, it’s largely accepted that parents step back as their young adults forge into adulthood. Today’s generational baton pass takes longer than it used to, however. Empty nests are open nests where adult children come and go. On the very cusp of young adulthood, and arguably the most decision-laden decade of a person’s life, the roster of expert advice to parents evaporates, leaving parents wondering how best to support the needs of their twentysomethings. In You’re Not Done Yet: Parenting Young Adults in an Age of Uncertainty adolescent and young adult mental health experts B. Janet Hibbs, M.F.T., Ph.D. and Anthony Rostain, M.D., M.A. fill this guidance gap by providing a clear-eyed, optimistic guide for parents with adult children who need help navigating the many challenges to launching an independent life—and who may be pleasantly surprised or mildly alarmed at this unexpected extension of parenting. The five markers of adulthood—completing education, obtaining a job and settling into a career, living independently, finding a partner, and becoming a parent—were defined by sociologists in the 1950s. Despite social and economic conditions changing drastically between then and now, twentysomethings are still judged on their success (or failure) in checking these off by the time they reach their 30s. Hibbs and Rostain argue these markers are long past their expiration date. They explain the cultural shifts and unprecedented societal forces that parents and young adults face today in order to help them embrace a new normal.
