  • MMA Champion Dan Henderson Releases The Book Hendo The American Athlete

    A riveting memoir by the

first MMA double champion and two-time Olympic wrestler who cut a
polarizing path as a firebrand figure and went on to become a legend.

    "Dan Henderson is a savage.

He came from a pure, wrestling background with very little striking
training, and he went and became one of the most dangerous, one-punch
knockout artists in the history of the sport." -Joe Rogan

    Dan "Hendo" Henderson was

the first fighter in MMA history to become a double champion, winning
championships in PRIDE Fighting Championships and Strikeforce. He faced
the biggest names in MMA, on his unparalleled run through the early
days of MMA through its remarkable rise in popularity, squaring off
against the likes of Fedor Emelianenko, Anderson Silva, Quinton
"Rampage" Jackson, Wanderlei Silva, Michael Bisping, Vitor Belfort, and
Renzo Gracie. Henderson's first fight against Mauricio
"Shogun" Rua in 2011 is considered one of the greatest fights in UFC
    history.

    In this no-holds-barred

look back on his life, Henderson provides context and insight into the
biggest fights of his career, while reflecting on the wholly unique
upbringing that shaped him into the warrior he needed to be to win. With
his trademark humor, he sheds light on his two trips to the Olympics,
his transformative time training in Europe and Russia, and his
    up-and-down relationship with Dana White.

Hendo: The American Athlete is a thrilling window into the life and mind of a true legend. There will never be another fighter like Hendo.

  • Stee From NBC's The Voice

Stee never wanted to be compared to his parents, who were classically

trained singers. Instead, he grew up wanting to be an engineer until he
heard R&B vocalist Mario and felt inspired. In 2014, he formed his
    band and performed at
weddings and other events. One of Stee's biggest fans and supporters
was his cousin, Matthew, who also wanted to be a singer, but struggled
with diabetes, which physically prohibited him from living his dream.
Matthew has encouraged Stee to audition for "The
Voice" since 2013. Unfortunately, Stee never got the opportunity to
tell Matthew he would be taking the stage because Matthew passed away in
May, but Stee is excited to live out this journey in honor of Matthew.

  • Peter And Henry Rocket Release All We Need Is Love And A Really Soft Pillow

New York Times, Indie, and Wall Street Journal bestselling creator Peter H. Reynolds went

for a walk with his son, Henry Rocket, and declared “This is it; this
is all we need! Love.” Henry Rocket listened and added, “...and a really
soft pillow.” Peter nodded, “Okay. Love, and a really soft pillow.”
Henry thought about this, “What about chocolate?” he asked. His father
replied, “Right, Love, chocolate, and a really soft pillow.” On they
went. And after playing this game, Peter and Henry agreed that when they
boiled it down, all they really needed was love... and a pen and paper
to write it all down, because this was a great idea!

ALL WE NEED IS LOVE AND A REALLY SOFT PILLOW! encompasses

the love a Poppy feels for his little one. Through silliness and chaos,
in sunshine and storms, with four walls or no walls, Reynolds
celebrates how we express and share our love in a wholly original and
deeply personal way. This comforting and colorful picture book is a balm
for the heart – not to mention, great goodnight reading!

  • Antonia Deignan Releases The Book Underwater Daughter

    Tuni

Deignan spent most of her life using a whole host of coping mechanisms
to avoid facing the trauma of her childhood: a sexually abusive father
and a mother who seemed helpless to stop him. But when a bike accident
rendered her immobile and independent on narcotics at age of fifty-five,
she finally sat down to unwind and understand the circus of her life; a
journey that led her to a place of understanding, peace, and even joy.

    Underwater Daughter follows

how Tuni grappled with her relationship with her parents, the aftermath
of her rape, an eating disorder, drug and alcohol excesses, and shame
as she came of age and began to build a life. In order to not lose her
inner innocence, in order to protect herself, in order to believe in
love, she began early on to create imaginary worlds into which she could
escape—to use dreams to transport her away from her fears.

    By

early adulthood, she was well practiced at slapping lipstick (pink,
frosty, kiss-me, gloss-over, perfect lipstick) over whatever darkness
    might be bubbling beneath.

    Hired

by a dance company right out of high school, she found success as a
dancer in Chicago and New York, but in her personal and emotional life,
    she continued to struggle.

    Ultimately,

it took her decades of dancing, hiding, faking, having sex, costuming,
implanting, dissociating, marrying, divorcing, and purging—all while
staying silent about her past trauma—before a bike accident at age
fifty-five forced her to stop and truly take stock of her life.

    As

    she did, she came to a resting place, finally, in regard to her father;
and developed the loving relationship she’d always wanted with her
mother; finally understanding that, in the end, love is all anyone
    wants—or needs.
