  • The Daily Mess The Last Time

    May 15, 2023

When was the last time?  A big

question in this ever changing world.  The
last time.  Was it a great time?  Was it a changing time?  Because I’m a daily writer I’ve got to
document multiple last times.  The last
time I was heard on terrestrial radio.
The last time I was in a bowling league.
The last time I saw my mother!  To
get to a last time requires a story.  A
journey.  Some demand an explanation or exploration.
Some aren’t worth the weight we’re
carrying.  Are we wasting time trying to
fit everything .into our last time?

"Permanent." Proceeds from all streaming (digital and video)
will be donated to AFSP. The song was inspired by a close friend who Lana lost
to suicide. Recognizing the power of music in her own
life, Lana wanted her first release after being on the TV show to be
a song of hope and encouragement - that whatever you are going through right

    Children Ruin Everything is

a fun, comedic love letter to childrearing that explores the many ways

  • The Daily Mess Having An Open Mind

    May 10, 2023

"When did having an open mind lead to anything good?"  A quote from Jim Belushi while in character

on the television show.  We can agree
that having a closed mind keeps a person away from newer adventures of personal
growth.  Open mindedness is a positive character
quality that enables us to think critically and rationally.  We are less swayed by singular events.  More resistant to suggestion and
    manipulation.  Getting on that path
requires awareness.  We're too set in our
    ways.  Other people's open mindedness
will always have an effect on how we live.
So often it leads to a disconnection.
I'm very guilty of being open minded but I don't act like it.
