  • Karlee Metzger Beyond The Voice
    Karlee struggled to find music opportunities when she moved to Michigan until she got to high school and joined her school choir and sang the National Anthem at every sporting event. After high school, Karlee continued to sing for her friends and in February one of her friends encouraged her to sing at a local bar near her college. This is the only performance she has done outside of school.

  • Belle Jewel Beyond NBC's The Voice
    With her mom working as her manager, Belle started booking acoustic gigs at coffee shops and getting paid gigs by 15. After high school, Belle received a full scholarship to BYU where she studied psychology and music. After one year, she decided to leave BYU to pursue music full time. When Belle was 16, she discovered a talent for creating Henna tattoos and started her own business with original designs. The income from her Henna business, along with her job as a recruiter, has helped keep her afloat while still pursuing music.

  • Dana Harper From NBCs The Voice
    Dana traveled a lot growing up as the daughter of NBA player Derek Harper. Her high school choir teacher took special interest in Dana and she made all-state for four years and became the #1 tenor in Texas. Dana moved to New York to attend college and began performing around the city. She performed at “Showtime at the Apollo,” placed second on BET's "106 & Park" and won "Wild 'n Out" Wednesday. Currently, Dana performs once a week in the Dallas area and books all of her gigs by word of mouth.

    In 2010, Kylie began studying at Berklee College of Music, where she developed the soul side of her voice. In 2012, she left school and moved to Nashville to pursue music. In 2014, Kylie was doing a show at the Stone Fox when she experienced a vocal hemorrhage and couldn't speak for a month. During that time, she focused her attention on writing.   • Ali Caldwell Returns From NBCs The Voice
    Ali skipped college to join Xhale, a three-person R&B group. They opened for Boys II Men and played for Patti LaBelle at her tribute concert. Although they met with several record labels, they couldn't get signed and called it quits in 2010. In 2014, Ali went to Russia and toured all over the country with a successful jazz musician named Oleg. Since then, she has been to Russia five times and performs more than 20 shows a year.

    Christian stopped singing outside of his church and chose to stay at home instead of attending college when his father tragically died from liver cancer. He instead got a job at Guitar Center and made supporting his mother a priority. Christian eventually went back to college because he knew his dad always wanted him to get a degree. He feels like music is the tool that taught him to cope with the loss of his father.

    From 2005-09, Courtney worked as a music teacher for the Boston school district while balancing motherhood. After her contract ended, a producer friend asked for her help to write a song for Chris Brown, sparking her move from Boston to L.A. to become a professional songwriter. Since moving to L.A., Courtney has written for Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, and briefly toured as a background singer for John Legend. Her son is now 18 and it's finally her time to shine.

    Riley’s passion for music began when he started playing the trombone in the fourth grade. When he joined Jazz Band, he discovered a passion for Frank Sinatra. Every time Riley takes the stage, he wears a pin with Frank Sinatra sayings given to him by his grandfather. Riley is definitely an old soul, but as a young artist, he still gets nervous on stage and deals with confidence issues, so performing for four superstar coaches is a big step.

    Michael suffered from a speech impediment as a child, so focused on the piano instead of vocals. He continued to play piano through high school, becoming known as the "piano man" for school talent shows and gaining the respect of his peers. By 18, music had helped Michael find his identity and his speech issues had subsided. Currently, Michael is a musician and pianist, gigging six to seven nights a week. In college, Michael met his wife Maria, and in 2014 they welcomed their son, Noah. Since then Michael’s ultimate goal in life has been to create a better life for Noah.

  • Ponciano Seoane From NBCs The Voice
    Ponciano was born on an Air Force base and started playing saxophone in sixth grade. He started college at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, but has since transferred to the University of Texas. Ponciano quickly realized that singing wasn't paying the bills so he started working the night shift at a hotel, which opened a door for him to start playing at other venues throughout the San Antonio area. Currently, Ponciano continues to gig and works the ER admittance desk at the Methodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio.
