Moses' older sister may not be the first person that comes to mind in the beautiful narrative about God's miraculous guidance of the people of Israel out of Egypt, but Miriam is a key character, and a great cautionary tale for the servant leader.  Chiderah, Ogechi, and Lindsey discuss Miriam's boldness, courage and leadership as a prophetess and worship leader for the women of Israel, with God's everlasting favor upon her life, despite the pride in her heart.

She may only have four verses in Acts 16, but the story of Paul and Silas's encounter with Lydia is crucial to the spread of the Christian faith. Ogechi, Lindsey, and Chiderah discuss what we learn from the short introduction of a wealthy businesswoman from Thyatira, and the virtue of hospitality that she displays. 

There's much to learn about the faith and devotion of Hannah, who cried out to the Lord about her barren womb, but returned glory to Him once she received the blessing of her son Samuel. Chiderah, Lindsey, and Ogechi reflect on this all-too-common experience of womanhood: the anguish and endless waiting for something long hoped for.

The unnamed Samaritan woman at the well may seem like a minor character in the New Testament accounts of Jesus, but she truly isn't. In a brief but important exchange about identity, we learn a lot about her life (really, Jesus spills all the tea!) and a lot about our Savior. In the last episode of our first season, Chiderah, Lindsey & Ogechi discuss the sisters Martha & Mary of Bethany. Found across the four gospels, these two inspiring women are noted as some of Jesus's closest friends, and we get to see the dynamics of their relationships with Him up close.

But after a series of unfortunate events God's redemption awards her a place in the lineage of Jesus Christ.  From a place of pain and tragedy we learn about how Bathsheba becomes the Queen Mother, giving birth to David's son and eventual successor, King Solomon.

When a prophetess told young Ogechi that she was a Deborah in the making, she had no idea what that meant. Join us as we get to know the only female judge of Israel, and how her wisdom and courage led an army of 10,000 into battle. Oh, and let's not forget Jael! An unlikely hero whose courage in a quick moment is admirable, but also completely insane.

Lindsey, Chiderah, and Ogechi reflect on the familiar story of Ruth. While we all may think we know the story of a loyal woman who met a perfect man named Boaz, through this conversation about the character of Ruth we see that she was so much more inspiring–and so is her love story! 

The story of Rahab (found in Joshua 2) is inspiring and challenging, but teaches us so much about faith, identity, and God's redemptive heart. Ogechi, Lindsey, and Chiderah discuss the life of a prostitute who chooses a God she has never known over everything else.
