Jessica Vollrath has known that she would be an artist from a very young age. After studying and training in classical oil painting, she focused on portrait work. Her work was captivating and well done, but she told the stories of others and never her own. That is, until she experienced one of the most challenging chapters of her life that she recalls to date.
While Experiencing lockdown in a global pandemic, Jessica navigated transitioning from a single woman to a new wife and mother parenting in isolation. She took a deep look inward to search for the voice she longed to use through her work. Jessica tells us about the journey of self discovery and overcoming the fear of how people may react once she was ready to tell the story that only she could.
