Cuties is a french independent film about a Senegalese Muslim young girl straddling the line between the polarizing feminine roles, dance, escapism and the internet. Originally, the film was shown in the France Sundance film festival several months prior to being bought by Netflix and was received well. However, the film wasn't appreciated in the States.
