Jody interviewed Dr. Ana Maria Velez Arango, who is a small but mighty assistant professor in the Department of Entomology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ana discusses her background, growing up as a young naturalist in Colombia and her journey as an undergraduate in majoring into biology to becoming known for her work in molecular biology, insect toxicology, insecticide resistance, RNAi technology and how it relates to insect behavior, physiology, and population genetics.
