Attention listeners of Radio Free Arthur: we, the editors of Arthur, are proud to announce that we have single-handedly solved the 2025 Draft Budget.
Every cut you personally disagreed with has been reversed, and everything you thought was a waste of money has been axed.
Speaking of wastes of money, friend of the show Taylor Swift is in Toronto. We don't have tickets and are not at all bitter.
While we may not have an eras tour to call our own, what we do have is a night of glitz and glamour in the form of our Annual General Meeting, TONIGHT at 5:00 PM in the John.
Be there or be a conscientious objector!
In other matters, Evan turns the subject of her ire to Large Language Models and AI, and the City's decision to spend $20,000 on Microsoft CoPilot.
Speaking of things which are allegedly products of systemic plagiarism, our City Hall Bingo is the talk of the town!
Finally, Evan speaks to today's status as Trans Day of Remembrance in what could be characterized as "a jarring shift in tone" for this comedic current affairs program.
As we like to say, "It's been a week."

Breaking news out of The Borough this week: Hundreds of protestors showed up at City Hall to contest the 2025 Draft Budget, which could see funding to arts and social services cut to accommodate council's will of a strict 5% tax increase.
Co-editor Evan Robins hailed from City Hall for several hours, documenting the protest and lengthy meeting (which started late). Camera in one hand, Monster in the other: locking the fuck in.
Across the city, Abbigale bumped Phoebe Bridger's Christmas rotation and vanilla protein shakes while she paginated the new issue of this very rag.
Equally as thrilling, some would say.
This episode is a culmination of the lack of sleep and budget brain your editors have endured. The laugh, they sigh, they correct misinformation, they talk about what is new at Arthur (allegedly).
If you noticed this episode is two days late, mind your business.

Well. You didn't hear it here first, but you know what we're talking about. The American Presidential election results are in, and rather unsurprising at that.
It's a heavier episode than last week's "which vampire is the hottest vampire" debate, but such is the nature of news.
Plus on a municipal level, Evan has been pouring over the 2025 staff recommended municipal budget, which includes a 7.8% tax rate increase, much to the chagrin of councillors who had previously approved a 5% increase.
Unsurprising once again, "cops want more money" inflates and already strained budget. Will this mean they finally show up to calls? Will shopping carts finally meet their match?
Only time will tell.

In this spooky edition of Radio Free Arthur, the editors talk for majority of the hour about lesbians, vampires, and why Carmilla is not only hot, but also cool.
While not a lesbian, Abbigale does look phenomenal in a trench coat.
While not a vampire, multiple women have credibly accused Evan of listening to Fiona Apple and owning Calvin Klein underwear.
The gals also read some spooky articles from their staff about haunted house hunting, Skynet taking over the TCSA elections and—the scariest thing of all—the Peterborough Police Service.
Whatever, man. We just write the news.
Keeping in the spirit of mythical women, Arthur's Lilith insert is coming to a page near you. Are you a woman? One that likes to write about your gender, perhaps? Drop us a line at [email protected] to learn how this can get you in print.

It's a time-travelling, rip-roaring, closet-recording RFA this week, as the show known for only the most breaking of news brings you the stale knowledge that beloved boy bandmate and (alleged) domestic abuser Liam Payne has died.
This is, of course, tragic news for co-editor Abbigale Kernya, though her co-host Evan Robins seems more torn up about not being able to see some manner of messed-up movie at Galaxy Cinemas Peterborough.
Besides these topics and a sneak-peak at the upcoming Issue 1, Arthur's inimitable tag-team talk the TCSA, whose elections have just imploded, and answer the question at the front of everyone's minds: is this what Charli xcx would really have wanted?

EDIT: Whoops! It appears we uploaded the same audio two weeks in a row. This was not a bit. The issue should be fixed now, and we're sorry. Thanks to Big Son Ian Vansegbrook for informing us of this (hilarious) oversight.
They call us the Jokers...that's why we're so serious.
What's up with that movie that everybody hates that's also a musical? We don't know, we just talk about Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Dakota Johnson for an hour.
And also the new articles from our staff, which are equally as compelling and interesting as the spooky season draws in cinephiles and freaks alike.
One film analysis even got Co-host Evan Robins to (allegedly) spark an interest in Alien: Romulus which she has previously stated can "blow my [redacted]".
Find out why, and watch the all the October madness roll in at trentarthur.ca.

What level of brainrot are you suffering from? Is your digital footprint demure? Is Nancy Pelosi really the mother of dragons who bratted before brat was brat?
Idk man, we're just as tired of it as you are.
That said, the girls talk about the funniest fascists, and how nobody understands the nuances of shit posting on Twitter (we support deadnaming when it comes to the bird app) like to former president of the US of A.
No, this isn't a safe space for Republicans, or Linked In influencers, or poets.
We also formally introduce two of our shining journalists, David King and Liam Andrews who unveil themselves to the airwaves and talk about, um, car discrimination?

Evan and Abbigale get HOTT-to-go as they discuss the annual spectacle that is Trent University's Head of the Trent Regatta, a weekend which as best as anyone can guess is about getting trashed at 2:00 PM on London Street.
There's also some rowing that happens, apparently.
Also on the hit list is Abbigale's recent brush with death, having gone under the knife the week prior, and Evan's techno-fetishism for absurdly expensive consumer appliances.

The old co-host is under the knife. A new co-host struggles to be born. Now is the time of Arthur.
For the first time ever, Radio Free Arthur brings you a guest appearance, from none other than Arthur Board President, returning writer for volume 59, and author of a piece about guys eating rotisserie chickens, David King.
With David's presence, this episode skirts the periphery of "NSFR" (Not Safe for Radio) content, as he levels accusations of impropriety at City Officials and the nation of France alike, and discusses the fate of a 4-ft ball constrictor with notre éditrice intrépide.
Also, RFA's Siskel and Ebert arc continues as Evan turns her co-pilot's eyes to the recent casting announcements of Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heigths adaptation.
Spoiler alert: somehow worse than Minecraft.

Six seasons of House M.D. seem to have finally come to bear on Evan and Abbigale, who use this week's RFA outing to dispense invaluable medical advice for those seeking clarity in the existential horror that is having a body.
[Legal disclaimer: These women are NOT medical doctors]
The season's autumnal aura also turns the editors' ever-fleeting attention to that perennial question: what are the Mormons up to?
The answer, it would seem, is reality television shows about swinging. Same as ever, then.
Speaking of drawn-out televised scandals, they also manage to turn the topic of conversation (as ever) to pickleball.
This should be good.
