Arthurian Mythia

In which Sir Blackwood and Dame Leslie are joined by author, Kieran Higgins, to talk about his second Arthurian book; The Forbidden Sister, the companion novel to The Forgotten Sister.

We also find out more about his new book, The Jealous Brother.

Which did he prefer writing more? How difficult was it aligning the timelines? What is his favourite colour? These are just some of the question we may have possibly asked!

We make another foray into Kaamelott and pick up with King Arthur attempting to run his kingdom, have lunch with his in-laws, have a pleasant night with his mistress and meet the Lady of the Lake. Also Merlin proves to be as competent as our ability to speak French.

We journey back to the land of Wrogles where Arthur rides to meet with Leodegrance but along the way he is ambushed by Lavic's men. Can Arthur escape and who is the brave, brilliant mysterious knight who rides to his rescue-- it's Lancelot. Of course it's Lancelot.

For Gawain Month 2020 we go back to 1991 to look at (yet another version of) Gawain & the Green Knight. Will there be hunting? Decapitation? Heated sexual tension? And all on a TV budget?

We complete our entirely coincidental, unofficial Guinevere month on the spookiest day of the year! Unfortunately Princess Gwenevere & the Jewel Riders is about as far from spooky as you can get. Bright colours, a flying unicorn, Princess Gwenevere attempts to thwart the plans of the evil Lady Kale.

A look at the 1994 made-for-TV movie, Guinevere. A movie which certainly runs true to its title. Also we see Guinevere and Lancelot and the two do not have an affair! I was as shocked by this as you are!
