The French call it exposer --which isn’t at all terrifying-- and the young artist Manon Gineste experienced just that at her very first art exhibit earlier this year in Paris, no less. It's about systems of abuse, and that’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot in this #metoo moment, this #blacklivesmatter and #march4ourlives moment, this Trumpian, AfD, Putinesque, supremely patriarchal moment… and how guilt and shame are used in these systems. It’s about the structure of patriarchy, how it’s abusive in the same way as an emotionally abusive partner or parent. And it’s about collective guilt — who owns it, why do we have it, and when are we going to put it down?

```Artipoeus explores technology, punk rock and Impressionism at American artist Austin Lee's Tomato Can at Peres Projects in Berlin. Punks were left with the aftermath of the Baby Boomers, who sold out to make affordable blue jeans or unaffordable ice cream and were now at home popping out Generation X babies. Punks were the generation squeezed in between, kicking at the walls and screaming. Now that I put it that way, I’m not so sure the Impressionists were that punk after all. They weren’t protesting the injustice of an unfair system. They were just loud and colorful, trying to stay relevant.
I think… I think that makes them Glam.

`ARTIPOEUS TURNS 50! And navigates the big 5-0 through Avigdor Arikha's Landscapes at Blain Southern in Berlin. I went to the Blain Southern gallery actually for the free booze. When you’re older, no one buys you drinks anymore. That sounds so depressing and it’s not actually true.. But it’s a little true. An artist I know said they were interested in seeing the work of Avrigdor Arikha, landscapes done in an Impressionist style.
Now, I hate Impressionism...
