  • Transparent PNG Images For Online Course Teachers
Visual aids, such as images, have become an essential tool for creating, engaging and effective online courses. Transparent PNG images have become increasingly popular among various image file formats due to their support, high-resolution graphics, and the ability to remove the background or make it transparent.
In this lesson, we’ll be learning all about transparent PNG images for online course teachers so that you can have images with transparency. You can layer them and do all sorts of great things. We will also go over transparent PNG images for online course teachers so that you can use transparency in all your different assets.
Challenges online teachers can encounter if they don’t use PNG files:
    • The image’s background may appear solid and rectangular
    • Icons can’t contain holes through the graphics without transparent graphics
    • Vector objects may not be supported well on all apps and browsers
    • The graphics may have to be updated if you change the content or background
    • May have to utilize animated pixelated formats like GIFs or newer WEBP formats
Here are a few tips for using PNG files in your online course:
    • Use PNG images when you need transparency
    • Use PNG images when you want the most popular browser support
    • If you don’t require transparency, go for a high compressing jpeg file
    • Make sure to include an accurate image description in the alt text
    • Make sure to use descriptive file names when naming your PNG files
    • When you need many sizes of images without pixelation use multiple PNGs or one SVG vector file
    • Teachers can use PNGs everywhere – course theme, community, website, resources, decks, templates, emails

  • Understanding Your Ideal Target Audience For Online Course Teachers
Ideal Target Audience (ITA) is an essential component of any successful online course. It refers to the specific group of people that the course is designed for and aimed at.
In this lesson, we’re learning about understanding your ideal target audience or ITA so that you can make great marketing materials and the steps involved in identifying and defining the ideal target audience for an online course.
Challenges online course creators can face if they don’t identify their Ideal Target Audience:
    • Without a clear understanding of who the course is intended for, it can be challenging to effectively market the course and attract the right students.
    • If the course material isn’t tailored to the specific needs and interests of the target audience, students may not find it engaging and may drop out.
    • If the course creators don’t know their target audience, they may not understand the most effective way to present the material, leading to a poorly designed course.
    • If the target audience is not properly identified, it can lead to ineffective marketing strategies that fail to reach the intended audience.
    • If students don’t find the course relevant to their needs, they may not complete it, leading to lower course completion rates and overall student satisfaction.
Here are some tips for identifying your Ideal Target Audience:
    • Understanding the goals of the course and what the students hope to achieve by taking it can help to identify the ITA.
    • Look at the demographics of the current students enrolled in the course and see if there are any patterns or similarities that can help identify the target audience.
    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, or other forms of market research to get feedback from potential students about their needs, interests, and preferences.
    • Consider the subject matter of the course and think about which groups of people would be most interested in learning about that topic.
    • Identify the common problems the target audience faces and how the course can help solve those problems.

  • Using Live Webinars for Your Course
As an online course creator, there are various methods to interact with your students, but what’s important is finding the best way to engage your students the most.
Live webinars may be one of the best ways to keep students accountable for their courses. With live webinars, you can reach out to your students and prospects through electronic devices like smartphones, tablets, etc. That way, they can actively participate in the courses and be in sync with discussions about the topics involved.
In this lesson, we’re learning about using live webinars for your courses so you can help teach your students in real time and have group lessons and answer all their questions.
Problems online course creators can encounter if they don’t use live webinars for their courses:
    • If you don’t use live webinars, your students may not have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions
    • You may need to rely on written assignments or recorded videos, which may be less effective at measuring learning outcomes
    • If you rely solely on pre-recorded content, you may encounter technical problems, such as buffering or poor sound quality that can affect the student experience
    • You may struggle to keep students engaged and motivated, as students may be more likely to skip lessons or procrastinate without the structure and accountability of a live session
    • You may struggle to scale your offerings to reach a large audience, as you will need to pre-record all content for each course
Here are a few tips to have in mind when using a webinar for your course:
    • Plan your webinar carefully, including the content and interactions you will include
    • Ensure that your equipment and internet connection is working properly, and have backup options in case of technical issues
    • Encourage participation and interaction through polls, Q&A sessions, and other interactive elements
    • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the webinar and ensure that the environment is conducive to learning
    • Encourage attendees to follow up with questions or further discussions after the webinar and provide them with resources for doing so
    • Consider recording your webinar for those unable to attend or for future reference
    • Evaluate the success of your webinar and use the feedback to make improvements for future webinars

  • Increase Student Confidence With the Theory of Multiple Intelligences
When did you first realize that you were creative? Was it during your first dance recital in 1st grade? Have you been singing since you could remember? Maybe you just discovered that you love creative writing.
As creative teachers, all of us have experienced a pivotal moment in which we realized that we possessed a creative spark. We recognized that we had a natural gift or skill to express ourselves in an outstanding way, and others appreciated our art.
What Is the Theory of Multiple Intelligences?
The theory of multiple intelligences was created by Howard Gardner, a psychologist and Research Professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard. In 1983, he explained his theory in one of his first books, presenting the idea that people are not born with all the intelligence they will have during their lifetime and that they will acquire new knowledge as time progresses.
While the theory of multiple intelligences can be beneficial, it’s important not to let it consume your course. You can’t please everyone, so just focus on a few and incorporate more as you can. Using the intelligence theory, you can create assignments that cater directly to your students’ natural skills while introducing them to new ones.

Making your checkout process easier is necessary for the life of your online course business. The easier and safer it is for students to checkout, the better they trust your course business. In this lesson, we’re going to analyze the e-learning checkout process. So how do customers turn into students when they go to your website, course, or community and actually pay and check out then buy that service you offer?
Problems course creators can encounter if they don’t use the checkout process:
    • It can complicate the purchasing process for customers
    • It can make their customers feel less secure
    • It gives the customers fewer options to choose from
    • It reduces conversions on their website, community, service, or product

  • Offering Course Payment Plan Options
One way to make online courses more accessible and affordable for your students is to offer course payment plan options. Payment plans allow students to spread out the cost of the online course over a period of time if they can’t pay for the full amount upfront. This can be especially helpful for students who may not have the financial resources to pay the full amount before they learn the new higher-earning skills.
Payment plans may also be helpful to teachers if they haven’t finished the course yet and they are releasing them over time. In this lesson, we will explore what a payment plan option is, how it’s beneficial to you and your students, and the difference between payment plan options and one-time payments.
These are some of the potential problems that online course teachers could experience if they don’t offer payment plan options:
    • By not offering payment plan options, you may be limiting the accessibility of your course to a certain group of people.
    • If potential students are unable to afford the upfront cost of your course, they may opt to take a different course that offers payment plan options.
    • Students who have to pay the full price upfront may feel overwhelmed with buyer’s remorse and may request a refund.
    • Without payment plan options, course teachers may be unable to generate the extra revenue that comes with students paying by installment.
    • Teachers may be forced to use a lower total price to acquire new students, instead of a higher price course with an installment plan option.
Here are some final tips for offering course payment plan options:
    • Consider how many installment months you will spread the payment over
    • Think about how much more the payment plan will be when compared to a discounted full payment
    • Will all payments be the same amount or will the first payment be larger
    • Ensure you clearly communicate the payment plan terms and conditions with your students
    • Use Stripe or PayPal to automate payments and subscriptions and to reduce financial errors
    • Stay organized and keep accurate records of payment plan agreements and payment totals

  • The Descript Video And Audio Editing Tool
Descript is a video editing tool that allows users to edit audio and text transcriptions of their videos. It also includes features such as automatic transcription, editing transcriptions directly, and automatically eliminating unwanted words from your video while producing a smooth output.
It is designed to make it easier to edit videos just by editing your words. In this lesson, we will look at the Descript video editing tool, how it can help you achieve your desired result, and how you can edit away your audio and video bloopers.
These are some of the potential problems that online course teachers have to deal with when they don’t edit their videos:
    • Without a tool to assist with the online video process, the quality and consistency of the video and audio may vary significantly
    • Editing your videos manually can be a very time-consuming process, especially for longer videos
    • It can be really slow and costly to get rid of unwanted filler words like ums and uhs
    • We may not realize it until we listen again, but we often repeat words as we gather our thoughts
    • You may not appeal to your widest audience if you don’t transcribe your videos for subtitles and captions
    • Without an overdub feature, you may have to record some or the entire videos all over again
Here are some final tips for using Descript video editing tool:
    • Get rid of filler words automatically, you’ll be surprised how many filler words you say
    • Get rid of unwanted and repeated words by simply ignoring and striking words in your transcript
    • The trim tool removes empty sound at the beginning and end of your video
    • Reduce all your long pauses to shorter delays like periods
    • Use the overdub feature to change or swap out a few words here and there
    • Use the studio sound feature to remove background noise and unwanted echos

  • Bloom’s Taxonomy for Creative Teachers
    Introduction
Getting started with your first creative course can feel overwhelming. There are a lot of moving pieces, and it can be frustrating trying to keep track of them all. Add that to the fact that some of us aren’t teachers by trade, and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
Luckily, the educators that came before us have already carved out the tricks of the trade when it comes to creating quality courses. There are several theories, formats, and templates that can help new and experienced teachers create courses that any learner would want to take.
A framework is an established set of steps or standards teachers can use during course development. Using established frameworks makes your course more credible, professional, and aligned with general teaching standards. After all, everyone has taken a course before, whether in high school or the workplace, which means they know how a course is supposed to flow.
The framework we’ll explore in this section is called Bloom’s Taxonomy. Let’s learn more about it and how it can help you create an amazing online course for creators!
    What is Bloom’s Taxonomy?
When taking a course, teachers will ask students to demonstrate what they’ve learned. This can be done in many ways, such as quizzing, discussion boards, or reports. Using more modern technology, they can also do this through voice recording, YouTube videos, or various apps on our mobile devices. In today’s educational environment, students can tap into their creativity to show what they’ve learned and how they’ve learned it.
What Bloom tells us is that there’s a hierarchy when it comes to these learning demonstrations—they are not equal! Just think about it. As a teacher, can you assess a student’s knowledge of makeup application techniques through a multiple-choice quiz? Perhaps.
Now, can you assess it better if you ask your student to record themselves applying makeup to a mannequin? Definitely!
All learning is good learning, but as creative teachers and experts, we must remember to keep the learning balanced by having a good mixture of assignments and assessments that challenge our students’ understanding of the course topic. This is where Bloom’s Taxonomy steps in.
Bloom’s consists of 6 categories. The categories in order are:
    Remember (Most Basic Stage)
    1. Understand
    2. Apply
    3. Analyze
    4. Evaluate
    5. Create (Most Advanced Stage)
Here are a few final tips on using Bloom’s Taxonomy for your online course lessons:
    • Start by explaining and defining the core words and components
    • Check that your students understand and can explain your examples
    • Go from passive digesting to active demonstrations in the applying phase
    • Add more complex and multi-part problems in the later analyze stages
    • Creatives should be able to compare and contrast in the evaluate stage
    • Designing and developing creative works will demonstrate the broadest application of skills

  • Using Title Slides for Online Course Lessons
A title slide lets students know what is coming in the lesson and lets them mentally get ready to receive the information from the teacher. This lesson has a bunch of tips on how to make great title slides for your online courses.
Here are some potential problems course creators could face if they don’t use title slides:
    • Your students will not have a context so they will be able to digest the next lesson
    • You won’t be able to summarize your lessons so your students can understand
    • Your students may be lost for multiple minutes into the lesson
    • You won’t be able to orient the students about your lessons before they get flooded with topic details
    • Students that binge watching your lessons won’t be able to adjust and take a break in between lessons
    • Tactical learners who need certain answers won’t be able to locate lessons as fast
    • If you don’t use title slides for complex courses, your students may get overwhelmed and give up
Here is a recap with a few final tips on using title slides for course lessons:
    • Title slides orient your students and gets them prepared before they get flooded with the lesson details
    • Using title slides will help binge watchers take a break in between lessons and prepare for the next lesson
    • Just showing a slide for three to ten seconds is enough to help students pivot
    • Work in the main title/point three times – tell them what’s coming, tell them, and then tell them what you just said
    • When a student is hopping around to learn something specific, your title slides will help find the right stuff
    • Also, consider a brief lesson outro slide that will take students from this lesson to what’s next
