As A Matter of BLACK

As A Matter of Black welcomed our very first guest to the set! Christian Kimbrough, owner of Revive Minds talks about the tragic event that led him to create an incredible clothing line and his journey to becoming a community youth advocate to end gun violence.

This episode is packed with rhetoric about Super Tuesday, Only Fans, respectability politics, and our favorite 4 Ingredients segment!

Boowee and Bolly speak on the grand jury's decision to indict only one of the three officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor with first-degree wanton endangerment charges.

Since the last few episodes of AAMOB didn't have a 4 ingredients segment, Boowee & Bolly spend an entire episode reviewing new beers and playing an interesting game of questions and answers!

This episode is for our beer lovers and the beer curious alike!

Bolly and Boowee conclude part two of this episode by discussing the shooting incident involving Meg the Stallion and Tory Lanez. If you or anyone you know is suffering from domestic abuse, you don't have to suffer alone. Domestic Abuse Hotline: 1-800-799-7233.  Lastly, Boowee brings an issue to the table in the segment: Boowee's Corner. She asks is the "Sou-Sou" True Blessings Group a scam or cooperative economics? You be the judge.

This two-part episode is thought-provoking and hilarious. Boowee & Bolly revisit problematic episodes of Moesha since its launch on Netflix and talk about double standards/misogynistic behavior in hip hop which has been a hot button issue since the release of Cardi B & Meg the Stallion's single W.A.P.

Plus catch the explosive debate on how the acronym should be pronounced.

Bolly and Boowee address the 2020 Presidential Election and Joe Biden's Vice President announcement of Kamala Harris. They dive into the Democratic Party, the Clintons, and decide if they agree or disagree with Joe Biden's decision.

Bolly & Boowee return again with a somber episode discussing civil unrest in the wake of George Floyd's murder by police officers in Minneapolis. They deep dive into America's historical racial injustices, talk about how you can get involved, give tips on ways to improve your mental health and end the show on a good note with a hilarious "4 Ingredients" segment.  As A Matter of Black is here to remind you that Black Lives Matter!!

Bolly and Boowee reconnect after another hiatus but this time over the phone due to the current COVID-19 Self Isolation guidelines. We discuss how the pandemic has impacted us and those we know, isolation shenanigans and Boowee goes into 4 ingredients alone.

The wait is over.

Bolly and Boowee discuss the latest topics in Black film. Why are actors from "Power" getting death threats? Our opinion on Tyler Perry writing, directing and acting in his films. More people watching stories and 4 Ingredients! Its been a while...but it's worth the wait!
