The long-awaited return of the handsomest man in music...Josh Thieler of Slaves BC. Josh tells us about the new upcoming Slaves BC album "Lo, and I am Burning" on March 16th . (Preorders are going up on March 2nd, I'll link ya below). Josh started a label called Fear And The Void Records and a PR company called CVRSED BREVTH (I can't figure out how to flip my "v" over but you get it.) Josh goes into how he got around not having label and PR support; he made some. Ultimate DIY finishing move. Matt's parent's moved to a blueberry farm at the same time he had his driver's license suspended. When he got his license back he dove headfirst into the local punk and hardcore scene. Matt joined Six Feet Deep and started Steadfast Records, the label that first signed the legendary Zao! Matt put the label to rest when Brandtson signed to Deep Elm but 17 years later, a convergence of events led him to resurrect the label. Matt recalls singing the words to Little Red Corvette as a kid and touring in a haunted van. (And yes, he has a photo credit in Focused's The Hope That Lies Within)

Here is the second half of my conversation with Chris Poland. Chris and I continue our discussion of his unique path to where he is now. I have to be honest with you, I've done about 150 podcasts and this is the first one that made me cry. Chris tells for the first time what happened to Nick Menza the night of his passing. I have never been so riveted to a guest as I was for this. Turns out Nick Menza and I have something in common; I wanna go out playing the drums too. We cover some more Megadeth stories and sticky business stuff but that's where the interesting stories lie in waiting to be told. Chris thank you so much for being so transparent with this podcast.

This week celebrated the 24th anniversary of one of my favorite bands: Coalesce. So who better to celebrate with then the man himself, vocalist Sean Ingram. Sean opens up about being a foster parent and turning his home into a BIGGER facility for helping kids in need. He tells a very personal story as to where the lyrics for "A Safe Place" came from and how personally his lyrics tie into the music of Coalesce. Roy Culver. I found him. He wasn't exactly hiding...he wasn't exactly talking either. Roy was a Solid State employee back in the early 2000's and now has an executive job at Nuclear Blast Records. Why would we NOT want to hear what this guy has to say? If you like heavy music Roy has most likely been directly affiliated with at least one album in your collection.
