He grew up in Bonn, Germany and during his high school years, Malte traveled to all the continents of the world. At the age of 16, he did a one-year high school exchange in Syracuse, New York. His thirst for new cultures could hardly be quenched. After doing his military service in Budel, Holland, and in Sardinia, Italy, in 1997 Malte enrolled in an MBA program at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Two exchange semesters brought him to Milan’s Bocconi University and to Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Sao Paulo. On top of his studies, Malte worked as a flight attendant for Lufthansa, thus traveling the world.
