We are EXTREMELY honored to chop’t up on the final EPISODE of the year with Ingrid Lewis Martin. We often don’t recognize the difficult task government officials dealt with to keep the City running. Many of these civil servants enter into this work to make a DIFFERENCE.  NEW YORK—Mayor Eric Adams announced Chaplain Ingrid Lewis-Martin as Chief Advisor to the mayor, a role which will have her working in partnership with the first deputy mayor, chief of staff, and all direct reports to the Mayor to support operations at City Hall and advance the administration’s strategic policies and priorities.  However, Chaplain Lewis-Martin’s political career started in 1983, first volunteering on the re-election campaign for the late Representative Major R. Owens and later serving as deputy campaign manager. She’s a champion within the political community, a fierce Christian, and an Advocate for living life on her OWN TERMS redefining life, leadership, and legacy!

What does it mean to be a dad? The art of fatherhood is evolving as society and the traditional family change. With these positive parenting tips, dads can help their children build confidence and self-esteem, and in turn, learn how to be engaged, supportive, and loving fathers to their children. Today's families are increasingly more diverse, including single-parent families, blended families, same-gender parents, unmarried parents, and multi-generational families. Over the past three decades, societal changes, including the rise in women working outside the home, escalating divorce rates, remarriages, and blended families, are causing shifts in maternal and paternal roles.   Ask a dad today and he will probably tell you that his father-daughter or father-son relationships differ widely from those he experienced with his father. Changes in parenting styles have given men more options for responding to obligations as fathers, husbands, or partners. More Than Just a Game: The Black Origins of Professional Handball The best way to describe handball is a combination of soccer, ice hockey, and basketball. The action is fast with a lot of contact and the potential to score 60 points or more in a game. Each match lasts two halves which are 30 minutes each. When the tournament gets to the knockout phase, a tie game will result in an overtime of up to two 5-minute halves. If the game remains tied after that, there will be a penalty shootout.
