Let’s dive into God’s Word together!

The Sabbath was given as a day to remember God's work in creation, His covenant with His people, and His provision. But more than that, the Sabbath ultimately points us to Jesus, our true Sabbath rest.

Jesus invites us: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

In Christ, the Sabbath is no longer an obligation but an invitation to rest in Him. The law was a shadow of the greater reality—Jesus Himself (Colossians 2:16-17). Through Him, we find the ultimate rest for our souls.

Take time today to reflect and pray:

1) Lord, forgive me for striving in my own strength.

2) Lord, help me to find my rest in Jesus.

3) Lord, thank You for all You have done to draw me to Yourself.

Let’s dive into God’s Word together!

What does it mean to truly "seize the day"? In Mark 1, Jesus shows us a different way—one that starts not with action, but with prayer. Before anything else, He retreats to spend time with the Father.

In this passage, we see:

1. Jesus’ dependence on the Father (Mark 1:35-37)

2. His mission to preach the gospel (Mark 1:38-39)

3. His deep compassion for the outcast (Mark 1:40-42)

4. The powerful exchange that points to the cross (Mark 1:43-45)

Jesus wasn’t just about doing good works—He was about proclaiming the good news. His miracles pointed to the greater mission: bringing people into the kingdom of God.
