In 1996 the 9 year old Amber Hagerman was riding her bike in Arlington, TX when she was abducted and then tragically murdered. But from this unthinkable event the Amber Alert System was born.

Failure appears out of nowhere. Routinely. Like an uninvited stranger crashing the party. It will hurt. It will leave a scar. You might always remember it. But will it define you?

The best gift of listening to God’s Word is the grace infused into our lives. We know we often hear, but do not listen. We know how easy it is to hear “Do not covet. Do not steal. Do not bear false witness, Do not curse, swear, lie, or deceive, but we also know how difficult it is to put it into practice, to take it to heart.
