Even When You Are At Your Worse Anything Is Possible!  

The first thing that I want to share with you is that your dreams don't need validation. Stop waiting on someone to co-sign your vision. It is time to step out and make something happen.   

Second, stop waiting on the breakthrough before working toward the blessing. There is much to be gained in your moment of difficulty.  

"Build houses and live in them, and plant gardens and eat their produce. 6 Take wives and [b]become the fathers of sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there and do not decrease. 7 Seek the [c]welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its [d]welfare you will have welfare." When Israel had been exiled from Jerusalem, they were despondent and had given up hope. Like many of us today, they were talking about, I can't wait until we are free to leave Babylon. I am gonna get married. I am gonna start my own business. I am going to build a house for my family and me. Israel had bought into the idea that the breakthrough always comes before the blessing.   

They had forgotten how to look for and find God in the darkness. Years earlier, Solomon had told them that God dwelled in the darkness, even the thick darkness does God dwell, but they had lost the ability to see God or feel God in the darkness.   

But Jeremiah told them not to wait to build and increase. He said build --- build houses and live in them, plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and become fathers. Take wives for your sones and give your daughters to husbands so that you may multiply and not decrease.   

We are often waiting on the breakthrough so that we can experience the blessing, but there are times when God expects us to see the blessing before the breakthrough. In fact, the actions we take in the midst of our storms will facilitate the breakthrough.   God is saying that you need to be proactive and passionate in your pain. Your conflict and dark moment don't limit God's movement. God can touch you right where you are, but you have to move on your hope.

The Life-Changing Force of a Positive Self-Image | Dr. Rick Wallace  

The Visionetics concept I developed and use at The Visionetics Institute was birthed from studying two individuals --- Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Guy Greenfield. Both Maltz and Greenfield focused heavily on the importance of the human self-image and the primary enforcer of human behavior.   

What Is Self-Image 

Self-image is the personal view, or mental picture, that we have of ourselves. Self-image is an "internal dictionary" that describes the characteristics of the self, including such things as intelligent, beautiful, ugly, talented, selfish, and kind. These characteristics form a collective representation of our assets (strengths) and liabilities (weaknesses) as we see them. (The Cleveland Clinic)  

A person's self-image is not inherent; you are not born with it; it is developed through experiences and observations. One of the most prominent influencers of an individual's self-image early in life is what Guy Greenfield called "label givers." According to Greenfield, you have primary and secondary label-givers. Your primary label-givers would be your parents, and your secondary label-givers are teachers, clergy, peers, etc. Children are very impressionable, and how parent refers to them can have lasting effects, which is one of the reasons I counsel parents to be very careful in how they address and refer to their children. Terms like stupid, dumb, lazy, inconsequential, and more can literally destroy any positive view a child may have of themselves.   

Why is protecting your self-image so important? It is essential to protect your self-image because it functions as the wall of limitations and restrictions that form the glass prison. This prison restricts your growth and capacity to perform.   

Your self-image can also be the driving force behind being a phenomenal performer in all aspects of your life. In short, your behavior, decisions, outcomes will be in direct correspondence with your self-image.  

Fortunately, you can change your self-image. I have spent decades teaching people how to reconstruct their self-image literally. When working with clients, my goal is to enlarge their self-image --- to expand how they see themselves in the world.   

Please understand you will never outgrow the limitations you have imposed on yourself. You will have to deliberately replace those limitations with new beliefs.

Hope Unaided By A Clear Plan Eventually Leads to Illness! | Dr. Rick Wallace

Hope, in its proper perspective, is an essential element and component of moving forward in life. However, hope unaided by a plan will eventually lead to illness.

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick." (Proverbs 13:12)

You need to find five reasons why you can't give up --- five reasons that will not allow you to quit. You have to know your why, or the obstacles and challenges you face will shut you down each and every time.

While is a powerful force capable of sustaining you in difficult moments where it may be hard to see the finish line, hope alone cannot assist you in making your life better. Your life will only improve by you exciting a clear plan with clear objectives.

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18)

The vision provides the optics for the plan. The more details you write down from your vision, the closer you are to bringing it to reality.

All hope is not good hope.

There are two types of hope that are completely counterproductive and inherently dangerous to your purpose and destiny:

1. Passive Hope

2. Happy Hope

Passive will have you meandering through life just hoping for things while doing nothing to create them. Happy hope is worse. Happy hope can be seen in the 60-year-old who has a perpetual smile while living hand to mouth. He has become content with his hope and seeks nothing more.
