Welcome to the Ashes of the Imperium!
In this episode Dan and Steve talk all about the latest Flashpoint articles in White Dwarf! This time we explore War Zone Octarius and the goings-on in this segment of the galaxy...
The team talk about what Crusade forces they'd create to match the on-going Octarius narrative, which will soon be followed by some Campaign Books. Steve creates a sneaky Ordo Xenos force on a Jurassic Park-esque hunt for Tyranid bioforms, whereas Dan takes to the skies to gather biomass of his own as a Tyranid army idea unfurls its wings.
Which Tyranid model or unit would you most like to see updated? Or perhaps a new unit that hasn't been made in plastic before? Let us know on our social media channels, we'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to the Ashes of the Imperium!
In this episode Dan talks through a new project inspired by the recent Warhammer+ short, Old Bale Eye. Putting his Chaos Renegade Guard to one side, he dives straight back into one of his first ever army - Mechanised Astra Militarum!
The team talk through how to approach making a modern army from an older model range, and the restrictions that imposes. They also discuss how to get around some of these restrictions!
What metal Astra Militarum range would you like to see re-done first? Catachans? Armageddon Steel Legion? Valhallans? Another? Let us know on our social media channels, we'd love to hear from you!

Welcome to the Ashes of the Imperium!
In this episode Steve and Dan dive into what makes a good battlefield in 40k and how to use scenery to help forge a narrative in your games.
The team chat about three different tables; a T'au Empire Starport, an Ork junkyard and a planet in the midst of a Tyranid infestation.
What scenery do you wish Games Workshop made? Have you created any interest scenery pieces yourself? Get in touch and share your scenery-related hobby!

Welcome to the Ashes of the Imperium!
In this episode Steve and listener Lee explore how he could shape and expand his new narrative project. With a lifelong love of Space Marines, Lee wants to take advantage of the expanding Crusade rules and create something unique for when lockdown is relaxed enough for him to get gaming with mates again.
Lots of questions and options are discussed! Some questions are addressed in full, but some are deliberately left unanswered to help create story ideas for future games and even new units.
Could this approach help you and your new project? If it does then we'd love to hear from you and the story your telling.
We are also collecting ideas for a future episode all about TERRAIN! Check out our recent Tweet here to make suggestions!

Welcome back to Explorator!
In this new series, the AOTI40k team will be exploring aspects of the Warhammer 40k universe. The topic will be looked through the following three lenses; Lore, Modelling and Gaming.
In this episode, Dan is joined by the one and only Chapter Master Valrak! We chat all about the most yellow of all Space Marine Chapters - The Imperial Fists. Dan, naturally, swings the topic over to Black Templars a few times too for good measure. Naturally.
Let us know what you think of the episode, what aspects of 40k you'd like us to cover in future Explorator episodes, and how we might improve the structure of such episodes too. We're always keen to hear your feedback!
