Good morning, weather watchers! Bundle up because Asheville is feeling the winter chill today.

We've got a Winter Weather Advisory in effect, so let's break down what's happening in our neck of the North Carolina woods.

Today's forecast is looking frosty with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Hold onto your hats, folks - we're talking about a blustery north northwest wind blowing between 16 to 22 miles per hour, with gusts that could reach up to 39 miles per hour. It's going to feel more like a deep freeze out there!

Tonight, expect partly cloudy conditions with temperatures dropping to around 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values could plummet to negative 6 degrees. Those northwest winds will continue to howl at 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 38 miles per hour.

Looking ahead to Friday, we'll see some sunshine with temperatures climbing to a more manageable 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The weekend looks progressively warmer, with Saturday reaching near 49 degrees and Sunday warming up to 53 degrees.

By early next week, we're looking at some seriously pleasant winter days - sunny skies and temperatures climbing to near 59 degrees on Monday and 62 degrees on Tuesday.
