Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to you with a chilly forecast for Asheville, North Carolina.
Hold onto your winter coats because we're looking at a bone-chilling week ahead! Today, we've got scattered rain and snow showers before 4 pm, with a possible light snow continuing after 5 pm. Expect some foggy conditions in the morning, clearing up as the day progresses. We're looking at a high near 42 degrees Fahrenheit, with northwest winds getting a bit gusty - potentially reaching up to 33 miles per hour. Bundle up, folks!
Tonight, things get even more frigid. Isolated snow showers are possible before 9 pm, with temperatures dropping to a teeth-chattering 8 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values could plummet to negative 5 degrees, so make sure to layer up!
Martin Luther King Day is looking sunny but arctic cold. Expect a high of just 21 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values as low as negative 10 degrees. Those northwest winds will continue to blow, gusting up to 29 miles per hour.
The rest of the week continues the winter wonderland theme. Tuesday brings a chance of snow, Wednesday looks sunny, and we'll gradually warm up towards the weekend, hitting a more comfortable 46 degrees by Saturday.
