What’s the Deal with LinkedIn and Consistency?
Ever wondered how to actually make LinkedIn work for you?
Or how to stay consistent without burning out?
Well, this week’s guest on The Monday Show—the fabulous Charlie Hunt—has the answers!
Charlie runs a copywriting agency and co-founded The Lime One, a platform that helps you use LinkedIn like a pro. In this episode, she dives into her journey from internships to creating her own business, and how a coder-business partner helped her turn a frustration with LinkedIn into an amazing tool for making meaningful connections.
We chatted about:
How anyone can write (yes, even if spelling isn’t your thing, thanks to AI!).
Why consistency on LinkedIn is key—and how spending just 15 minutes a day can lead to 65 hours of marketing a year! 🙌
The magic of using tools like Lime to streamline your LinkedIn strategy, track relationships, and nurture those valuable connections.
Sales tips for LinkedIn—how to engage people who don’t post or comment much, and why nurturing relationships is so important.
Charlie even shared how she got 70% of webinar attendees to show up (what?!) and converted 50% of them into customers. Talk about LinkedIn goals!
Plus, we tackled the tricky question of LinkedIn’s third-party app policy and why Lime stays on the right side of LinkedIn’s rules.
Tune in for tips, laughs, and some serious LinkedIn wisdom! This one’s a must-listen if you want to master LinkedIn without feeling overwhelmed.

What’s YOUR Mindset?
This week on The Friday Club, Ashley, Odessa, and Victoria are back with another amazing guest, the super-inspiring Andy Mullaney!
Andy shared his incredible story about being diagnosed with cancer and how he’s facing it head-on with nothing but a positive mindset. He believes that 50% of the fight is in your head—and trust us, his mental strength is next-level.
We chatted about his journey, how he refuses to let cancer define him, and the power of surrounding yourself with the right people.
We also heard about Andy’s 35-year career at Lloyds Bank, but it was his work helping communities that truly lit him up. He even wrote a book, Didn’t Anyone Ever Tell You? It’s All A Game!!, which has raised over £1,100 for charity—legend!
Of course, it wouldn’t be The Friday Club without our Word of the Week! This time, it’s “apoplectic,” which Andy used to describe some of the more frustrating moments from his banking days. 😆
We had a blast discussing “energy vampires” (those people who drain your time and energy) and how Andy has mastered the art of setting boundaries. His advice? Be ruthless with your time but kind with people. 💪
So, if you’re looking for a dose of positivity, laughs, and some seriously good vibes, grab a cuppa and tune in. This episode will leave you feeling totally inspired and ready to take on the world!
Andy Mullaney

Andy Mullaney, born and bred in the Black Country, is a proud family man who has a 35-year career in banking, finance, and community development behind him.
Now a published author, mentor, coach, mental health first aider, and regular volunteer, Andy is passionate about giving back to others, wanting to deliver a better legacy for those that follow.
He is a strong advocate of mentoring and the benefits that this can bring to everyone in our world.
His debut self-help book, “Didn’t Anyone Ever Tell You? It’s All A Game!” was first published in 2021 and has just been reprinted.
Andy reflects that “the principal theme of the book is my belief that life is a game, a series of games in fact, that we can choose to play in full consciousness in order to survive and sometimes win.
The book can be seen as a route map, guide, series of tips, experiences, and reference points to ensure that there is help, hope, and handholds on the cliff face of life.”
So much has happened since publication, and Andy says that the book has taken him to some amazing places and to meet some truly remarkable people.
He has also raised over £1,100 for charities with its sale, as he donates 50% of all income from this, urgently to Kaleidoscope Group, a mental health charity based in the West Midlands.
In the Spring of 2024, Andy was diagnosed with bowel cancer and has used much of his life experience and desire to live to fight this “bully,” as he calls it. “Cancer will never own me, never own my mind, or will never define me” is Andy’s mantra.

What is your relationship with money?
I had an AMAZING conversation with the lovely Louisa Wilcox, a financial education expert, on my last Tuesday show!
Louisa shared her journey from running a successful bookkeeping business to founding Let’s Get Wealthy, a company dedicated to helping ADHD entrepreneurs understand their personal and business finances.
Her key takeaway?
Most of us were never taught the vital skill of managing our money, and it’s something we ALL need to learn—whether you're a business owner or not!
She broke it down simply:
Wealth isn't about being rich; it’s about understanding your money.
If you don’t know your numbers, chaos happens.
Start learning NOW, even if you feel overwhelmed.
I asked her, “Where should I start with teaching my grandson about money?” Her answer? Start early. Teach the value of money through small habits, even with a 4-year-old.
This conversation was a powerful reminder of how important it is to have open conversations about money—both for adults and children. If you're not in control of your finances, now is the time to get on it!
✨ Show Updates: My Tuesday and Wednesday shows are now moving to Mondays! Starting with the lovely Charlie Hunt from Lime One on Monday, 23rd September—same time, same place, just a different day!
PLUS, I’m launching a brand-new show with a couple of friends on Fridays starting 13th September at midday.

She works with individuals, groups, and organisations to teach essential financial literacy and money management skills. Louisa believes that true financial freedom comes from understanding and being in control of your finances.
She also recognises that living a wealthy life involves more than just money—it's about nurturing mental and physical well-being too.
Louisa’s goal is to help others achieve a life of financial freedom, peace of mind, and overall well-being.

Determined to improve, Rachel spent the next three years intensely studying and refining her writing process.
This dedication paid off when she completed her second book in just six months, sparking a new direction in her career.
Rachel realized that the techniques she had developed could help others overcome their own writing challenges, particularly business owners and entrepreneurs who have valuable insights to share but struggle with the writing process.
Today, Rachel is dedicated to guiding her clients through every step of writing their business and self-help books.
She offers practical advice and actionable strategies, making the daunting task of writing a book more manageable and enjoyable. Whether they are crafting a full-length book or an eBook, Rachel guides them every step of the way, from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final edits.

"I’m Francesca, co-founder of Future Cloud Accounting and Quirq!
As a single mum of two, I decided 14 years ago to create a better life for my family by going back into education.
My passion for accountancy led me to study hard, volunteer in the industry, and eventually land a role at a top firm.
I graduated in 2014 and quickly became drawn to cloud-based accounting, realizing it was the future of the industry. That’s when I made it my mission to drive that change.
I love meeting new people, asking questions, and helping others succeed. Social media has been key in sharing my business journey on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, and it’s helped me grow my business by being my authentic self.
This is what inspired me to launch Quirq—a personal branding agency focused on helping others showcase their true selves online.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about health and fitness and believe every business owner should have a physical hobby. It’s been a tough journey, but my determination to create a better life for myself and my children has driven me to succeed, and now I want to inspire others to do the same!"

What a great last show
This was just a chat with Rebecca who has helped me to move my business from stuck to growing.
And Ironically the plans we’ve put in place now mean that I cannot do shows on Wednesdays, so this was also my last ever show.
We talked about how, as business owners we forget how good we are adn how we are not charging our worth.
We also end up doing the same thing because it is comfortable and we don;t like change. This episode proves that we can be bold and make those tough decisions and take action.
Loads of practical advice from Rebecca and some great tips to help too
But don’t worry, I’ll still be creating a weekly podcast and my live shows will be moving to Mondays

In this episode, I sit down with Jeff Standridge, partner at Innovation Junkie, who shares his journey from the healthcare world to becoming a strategic consultant and entrepreneur.
Jeff talks about his early career as a paramedic and flight nurse, and how his experiences on a helicopter led him to transition into organizational behavior and consulting.
He offers an interesting blend of stories from his medical days and insights into helping businesses thrive by making a difference rather than just making a living.
We dive deep into the challenges of scaling a business, especially when the founder feels tied to every aspect of it.
Jeff shares his approach to systematizing tasks and creating a growth plan that takes entrepreneurs from being stuck in the day-to-day weeds to thinking strategically about how to grow their teams and, ultimately, their businesses.
He discusses the importance of innovation, communication, and building a culture where leaders and employees are aligned and focused on driving the business forward.
Jeff also drops some valuable wisdom on leadership, touching on common pitfalls like unclear communication and lack of focus. He explains how creating systems, keeping people accountable, and fostering a resilient, adaptable culture can lead to long-term success.
If you’ve ever struggled with balancing the demands of running a business and scaling it effectively, Jeff’s advice on leveraging technology, building a strong team, and creating a growth system will definitely resonate.
