  • It’s natural for people to talk and seek reassurance during uncertain times. Leaders should make space for those conversations, but always redirect them toward action and support.
  • Apply a “Do No Harm” Leadership Lens
  • Uphold a responsibility to reduce, not add to, emotional weight during transitions. Your direct reports should leave conversations with you feeling lighter, not burdened.
  • How to Resign Thoughtfully and Strategically
  • Preserve relationships by resigning with grace. Submit written notice before the conversation, honour your contract, and give leaders time to process and plan.
