Ask Away

This STORY episode is all about 2 kings. First, there's Herod, who loves his power.  But when a group arrives seeking a new king, Jesus, things get complicated.  Together we'll see how God's power is totally different than Herod's, because God's power matches who God is.

After you listen, send in your questions to [email protected] or record them to Voxer:  AskAwayPodcast. We'll include them in a future episode!

When God's people were in the desert, a big problem came up, so in this STORY episode we discover what God did next.  This story is in Exodus 17, if you want to read it yourself.

Once you listen, help the show by sending in a question to [email protected] or record it to Voxer:  AskAwayPodcast.

In this QUESTIONS episode, kids asked us stuff about Jesus.  So we talk about:

Kid listeners, you can send us your thoughts and questions anytime.  Have your grown up record you and send it to [email protected] or leave us a message on Voxer:  AskAwayPodcast. No matter when you listen, you can send questions about anything anytime!

Surprise!  We have a story bonus for you!  So, a looooong time ago, as a Kid's Pastor, Meredith taught this Bible story to the kids in her church...through a "rap" to the rhythm of Fresh Prince of Bel Air.  And now, it's yours to ... enjoy?  Laugh at?  Both?

This is Ask Away, a podcast for kids where we don't just tell Bible stories, we explore the weird things and the stuff we wonder about!

In this Bible STORY episode, we meet Zacchaeus and hear what happened when he met Jesus!  Along the way, as always, Riley and Peyton jump in with questions, and the stuff they think is weird or they wonder.

After listening, we want kids to send in THEIR questions, which will be included in our QUESTIONS episode soon!  Kid questions can be recorded or attached to an email:  [email protected] or recorded to Voxer: AskAwayPodcast.

Plus, don't miss the silly bonus that goes along with this story!  (Meredith "raps" it.  Quotes are necessary...trust me.)

In this STORY episode, we talk about Joseph, who had quite a wild (and often hard) life.  (You can find the story in Genesis 37-45.) From unbelievable dreams, to family jealousy, from dishonesty ruining things to meeting just the right person in an unexpected place, this is a story of God's power over even the bad things.

After you listen we would LOVE for you to send us a recording or something you noticed, wondered about, or thought was weird!  Send your questions to [email protected] or record them to Voxer:  askawaypodcast.  We'll put YOUR recording in our QUESTIONS episode!

Have you ever learned something by doing it, instead of being told it?  That's what happens in this STORY episode.  We meet Abraham and hear about a time God asked him to do something big.  When Abraham was first asked, he probably would have expected a god to ask this, actually. But this time, our God was going to show him, and the world, that the true God is different from all the false gods of the groups nearby.

After listening, record your questions and email them to [email protected] or leave us a message on Voxer:  AskAwayPodcast.  No matter when you listen, you can send questions about the story anytime!

In this STORY episode, we meet Jairus, a daddy who needed Jesus' help.  But the whole plan for that help gets a big interruption!

After listening we want to you: what did you notice?  What do you wonder about?  What questions do you have?  Send them to [email protected] or record them on Voxer: AskAwayPodcast so we can include them in the QUESTIONS episode!

In this QUESTIONS episode, we talk about why people say Jesus had two fathers--Joseph and God? Plus, did the animals eat from the manger while Jesus was in it?  and What are angels, anyway?

Plus, we're trying something new for the next 4 stories so we can get MORE questions from kids!

Got a question, record it and send the file to [email protected], or find us on Voxer AskAwayPodcast.
