  • Ep. 212: Kpop Q&A LIVE from KPSN Podcast Fest '22

This week, tune in to hear our live 'meet the hosts' Q&A segment from this year's KPSN Podcast Festival! Learn what we'd steal from each other's closets, our fangirl lives before Kpop, how we deal with ugly questions from 'locals', which idols we'd want to help us move house, and so much more. Thanks to everyone who tuned in live, and everyone who made this possible by sending in these great questions!

You can still donate to KPSN's charity cause, the National Alliance for Mental Illness for the rest of July with this link: https://donate.nami.org/fundraiser/3783658 Even $1 goes a long way to reaching the goal. Thank you!

  • Ep. 211: SMTOWN Summer Albums
Happy Summer! For this week's episode, we're taking a look at the 6 summer 'family' albums that SM Entertainment released between 2002-2009. Who was featured on these albums? What did the songs sound like? How much fun do you think they all had wrestling in the pool? Why haven't they done one of these albums for 13 years?!? All those questions and a lot of very cheesy summer music ahead!!

As always we've got detailed outfit descriptions and our best recollection of the show as colored by the fog of our love and excitement and rapidly fading phone batteries. • Ep. 208: Third Generation; Kpop Going Global
Okay we're doing it! We're revisiting and updating an episode we did 4 years ago! Enough time has passed that it feels safe to put some brackets around what we consider 'the 3rd generation' of Kpop. Just as we did all those years ago in episodes 18 and 19, we will take a look at how music videos, concerts, fan engagement, concepts, scandals and more, differed from the generations before. What do you think of the 3rd Gen?

  • Ep. 207: What's Your "One" Kpop Video

This week we posed a challenge for our Seasoned Fan Patreon Patrons, what is the "one" Kpop video for you? The single video you would show to a complete stranger who is asking you about Kpop. A Kpop 'elevator pitch' per se. We watched 14 different video submissions over on our Patreon, and then we came here to find out why each listener chose their one video, and then discuss the Kpop merits of each!

  • Ep. 206: What's In A Stage Name?

This week's episode is probably a topic we should have covered 190 episodes or so ago, but we're doing it now! It's time to talk about stage names! We studied stage names from a ton of random groups throughout all time to give us a good picture of where stage names come from, and the patterns and categories they often fall into. Then, we take a quiz to find out our Kpop stage names. What's your favorite stage name in Kpop?

**This episode included an upsetting recording error resulting in maybe not the most amazing steady audio you've ever heard and we're really sorry please be nice.

  • Ep. 205: TWICE III Encore in LA
We got to see TWICE in a really big stadium with so many people!!! Listen to our tired and brain melted recap recorded the morning after that may be slightly jumbled, but we got the main point across. Which is that TWICE is really amazing and we're so happy we saw them.

  • Ep. 204: Every Mirotic Cover We Could Find

This episode topic was silly and ill-advised but we did it anyway. For some reason we decided to watch 25 covers of the 2008 TVXQ! song "Mirotic" in a row. Let us tell you about them. Pray that we will get the song out of our heads eventually.
