In this edition of the podcast we talked about pesticides, we talked about the history we talked about development and where pesticides are today.

We talked about chemical pesticides as well as Organic pesticides including the Botanicals.

We also talked about the importance of understanding toxicity both chemical and organic and natural pesticides have a certain amount of toxicity and just because something is natural does not mean that it cannot kill you.

It should be noted that I recorded the majority of this podcast as a lesson plan so I am not my more entertaining self, rather dry and is Jack Web would say just the facts.

Many people today want to use natural organic fertilizer on their lawns. In this Edition we talked about the different types of fertilizer. What makes up a fertilizer and what makes a fertilizer organic. We talked about the main elements as well as the minor elements of fertilizer both chemical and organic.

In this episode we talked about the fact that is cold even in Florida and we talked about making plans for spring. This will include moving plants around adding new plants and getting ready for the nutritional needs of all of our plants as we move into this most wonderous time of year.

For the second year in a row I have received zero catalogs from seed companies which is very distressing because over the years I used to get 30 to 40 seed catalogs every December and January and I ordered from every one of them. In this edition of the podcast I guess we talk about transitions and how some things I guess are just not as popular as they once were.

It's hard to believe that this is actually show 1769 but then again I've been doing this for years and years and years so I guess they add up. In last week's show, I complained about the growing number of weeds in my yard and how I was going to handle it. in the midst of all of that, a book that I gave away a month or so ago came back to me in the mail because the lady didn't like the book and the receipt of such book and glancing through the book again gave me a guilt trip about how to handle the weeds in my yard. You're going to want a listen, this is fun.

In this absolutely fabulous edition of the podcast Michael tries again to swear but he can't bring himself to do it. We speak a little bit about the Christmas holiday with grandchildren and kids and hamburgers and rocket launchers made for kids and Michael confesses that his yard is full ff weeds because he did not do what he was supposed to do. Here how he solves the situation and how he used a natural insecticide to get rid of nasty yard insects during the summer.

This year I step into the studio totally unprepared simply because the month just creeped up on me. So following tradition I have nothing about gardening to say. Instead I talked about my journey to my new podcast that I am working on.

In this holiday kind of addition of the podcast I talked about the care and feeding of your Christmas tree if you get a real Christmas tree. If you follow this wonderful advice chances are reasonably good that when it's all over with you won't have all of these pine needles all over your floor. Then just for fun I opened up my mail and pulled out a book called Nature's Best Hope and kind of went through a little bit and decided to give it away but only to a woman who is of dating age for me. No I'm not asking anyone out on a date but sometimes I come up with weird rules.
