Letters to Anyone

Asking For a Friend

Listen Later

Dear A, I hope that as always, my letter finds you well. It is my understanding that you might be struggling. As Dear Mr. Darcy would say, "would I but could I" take your suffering away. Instead I offer you my own thoughts on a practice that has helped me in a similar state.

Sincerely, and Always,

-V

Find me online as @floresmillia on Instagram which is also where you can submit your question in need of some gentle advice. Send your question in with "From A" as the starter and look forward to a response as soon as I am able. Some questions can lend themselves to requiring more thoughtful and thought out replies, please allow space for time to think these responses from me through.

Credit for today's quote is an excerpt plucked carefully from the greater literary work of Virginia Woolf, titled "The Waves".

"How much better is the silence; the coffee cup, the table. How much better to sit by myself like the solitary sea-bird that opens its wings on the stake. Let me sit here for ever with bare things, this coffee cup, this knife, this fork, things in themselves myself being myself."
