Judges 6
Gideon was the fifth judge for Israel and when the angel of the Lord came to him he looked like an ordinary man, so there was no way to know whether he was a messenger from God or had evil intentions and was trying to mislead Gideon. The messenger could have been disguising himself as a man of God but instead was a man of deception. So, Gideon tested the spirit to see if it was from God or not. We too must test the spirits.
So, first we will learn about God calling Gideon and then how and when we should test the spirits.
