These chapters are Davos and Jaime, and they're the ones where Davos returns to the shores of Dragonstone, has a chat with Salladhor San and fails to listen to the wise pirate's advice, and then heads to the castle to murder Melisandre. Needless to say, this does not go as he planned.
Meanwhile, Jaime is hanging out at an inn with his cousin and Brienne, and there's a bit of a shady vibe that he flatters himself only he is picking up on. Turns out he's wrong, and Brienne is seeing the signs as well. We also get some flashbacks to what it was like for him to join the Kingsguard, as well as what happened in the throne room right before Ned Stark walked in.
