In this episode my dad and I express our views on marriage and if it's necessary to be married. Marriage is a hot topic and on this episode we express the pro's of marriage and how it can help, heal and allow black people to progress in America! Marriage can be amazing, beautiful, progressive and provides stability for our babies! We are rooting for black marriages and don't have anyone tell you otherwise! BLACK MARRIAGE = BLACK POWER!
Peace, Love & Healing
In this episode we discuss gun violence in the black community. As of recently NYC is at an all time high in regards to homicide. Black on Black crime has always been a part of black culture and in this episode J expresses the "Covid mindset" and T believes that due to historical traumas black people have become numb to each others pain. What are your thoughts? How can we fix gun violence in our communities? In this episode we discuss many elements that contribute to why gun violence is still prevalent.
Peace, Love & Healing!
In this episode we discuss our opinion on babies before marriages. J and T both agree that marriage should come before babies. Many of us have normalized babies before marriage within the black community as if it has done us any favorable justice in our communities. Young men are being told that "If you marry her and you two divorce she will take everything from you" so instead many of us are born into broken homes and young woman are still being bottle fed this ideology of being the "strong black woman" because there has been generations of this toxic and dysfunction neurocycles.
Black family unities will create black prosperity, black wealth, and black stability! Black babies benefit from two-parent households. Cycles have shown us that when a child is raised in a one parent home the child is emotionally instable, tend to have behavioral challenges, end up dropping out of school, more likely to be imprisoned than any other race, create numerous children with numerous people which continues the cycles of black struggle. We have to do better in order for our children to do better.
"When you know better, you should do better" - T
I hope that you finish listening to this episode with gained wisdom...PEACE!
Are you complacent in your relationship? Are you unhappy but feel stuck with no way out? Are you just "staying put" because its comfortable to stay than to go because of the fear of the unknown. Many of us have been groomed to "stay put" because we've been taught that pain and struggle equates to love. We've been told that "You can't keep a mate " when we decide to leave and start over because our happiness and mental health has become a priority, many of us have stayed and may currently be in a unhealthy, non-fulling and stagnate relationship. We may not be able to financially support ourselves, so we "stay put" and deal with abuse both mentally and sometimes physically. We are here to let you know that it is OKAY to start over and to prioritize yourself! Self-love is the best love!
On this episode we share our experience and life lesson! Enjoy :)
*Disclaimer: Anything that we speak on is NEVER to offend anyone and we are speaking from our experiences. Everything is not for everyone and this podcast may not be for you and that is okay, thank you for those who continue to support us and for those who don't move along :) PEACE!
In this episode we discuss the impact that television has on humans. As a young girl my dad did not allow his girls to watch television and now that I am an adult I am grateful for not having so much exposure to television. This is a continuation about how certain elements can lower your vibrations and believe it or not television is the biggest one. Many of us spend our in front of a program that is created to program you mentally, we discuss how the brain becomes docile, flabby and the intellectual level decline. I am a strong believer that when you know better you do better, let's do better. Let's cut off the programs and converse more especially with the youth, lets play board games (my favorite growing up was Scramble but now I enjoy playing Dominos), lets take walks in the park and enjoy nature or lets just sit silently to quiet our minds, these are all ways to raise your vibrations, along with listening to upbeat POSITIVE music! What you feed your brain you become!
On this episode we talk about vetting for a life partner. J gives his advice on how young women can find a life partner and T gives advice on what a life partner consist of while also sharing her experiences in dating. There are many different qualities we look for in a spouse but here are some common ones 1. Provide a man is to provide for his family, that does not mean that you need to go to college but have a skill, trade, business and provide for your family 2. Screen your potential life partner, bring them home to your family and allow them to screen your partner, specifically your parents, 3. Pay attention to the relationship they have with their family, watch how they speak about them and how they speak upon the other gender; the way a person speaks about other shows their character, 4. Pay close attention to how your spouses parents interact with one another. We speak upon many others, so tune in!
On this episode we discuss ways to raise your vibrations. There are many different ways to raise your vibrations. On this episode we discuss a few things such as journaling, using affirmations, manifesting whatever it is that you desire, drinking tea and on the next episode we will discuss things we've eliminated from our daily routines that causes low vibrations, stay tune!
What do you do when you are feeling low?
How do you raise your vibrations?
How do you uphold high vibrations when you are around people or in a environment that has a low vibrational atmosphere?
Vibrations are the essence of the universe. Everything has motion and vibrations even objects. Vibrational energy is important it can either uplift you and make you feel happy, peaceful or make you feel exhausted, sad, or depressed. Raise your vibration frequency and hold on to it no matter what environment you walk into. On this episode we discuss some experiences we have encountered when interacting with people with different vibrational levels. My father gives his insightful wisdom about vibrations and how those around you can influence your vibrations, while I share my experiences in low vibrational environments with low vibrational people. Here are a few questions I would like for you to reflect on:
-Are you a person with low vibrations?
- How do you deal with people who have low vibrations?
- What are somethings you can do to raise your vibrations? We will discuss this in the next episode, Stay tune!
On this episode we discuss a previous conversation I've had with a friend who stated that his daughter is beginning to question religion. We share our experiences and our up bringing from the dynamics of growing up black. J shares his wisdom to his daughter T and she shares her experience growing up. Let's teach our youth to question EVERYTHING, and if you do not have the answers please provide them with an outlet (books, books & more books, documentaries etc.) to research their own curiosities and never MUTE the youth! The mind is a powerful weapon and the only way for us to gain knowledge is to question, question and continue to question. It starts with you. Enjoy & share!
