Aspasia and Hypatia

 

There once was a woman who lived in Ancient Athens, and that is all that we can say accurately about Aspasia of Miletus.

 

This week I look (far too briefly) at two figures from ancient philosophy - Aspasia of Miletus, and Hypatia of Alexandria.

 

Both were women philosophers, and both were quite influential in the development of western philosophy.
