This podcast is the second in a two part series on
backyard chickens. As previously
mentioned, the rise in popularity of organic “farm to table” eating, has
certainly influenced the rise in the number of backyard chickens.
In
today’s segment, we will review some plants that are harmful to chickens, as
well as discuss heavy metal toxicities, such as lead poisoning. Preventing access to these toxins will also
help to protect families that consume the eggs or meat.
