Merritt Tierce was born and raised in Texas. She worked in various secretarial and retail positions until 2009, when she moved to Iowa City to attend the Iowa Writers’ Workshop as the Meta Rosenberg Fellow. After graduating in 2011 with her MFA from Iowa, she received a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Award, and she is a 2013 National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 Author. Merritt’s first published story, Suck It, was selected by ZZ Packer to be anthologized in the 2008 edition of New Stories from the South, and her first book, Love Me Back, was published by Doubleday in 2014, to wide acclaim. Merritt lives near Dallas with her husband and children.

Dr. Kim Levin is constantly thinking about epidemics and how the Roaring Fork Valley would respond. Dr. Levin serves on the board of Community Health Services. The organization provides clinical care, such as immunizations and women's health programs, and works closely with the City of Aspen and Pitkin County to have plans in place for outbreaks and communicable diseases in the valley. Dr. Levin discusses these plans and possible threats to the health of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Stoney LaRue combines a rootsy sound with rock and country and a taste of the blues. When he was a teenager, he moved to Oklahoma and would become part of the Stillwater "Red Dirt" musical community along with likeminded acts such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland, and Mike McClure. On the road over 200 dates a year, LaRue has also released several studio and live albums. His latest is “Aviator”.
