Today, we’re diving into a topic that I know so many of you can relate to: friendships and relationships in midlife.
As we navigate this phase of life, our friendships can feel a little…off. Maybe you’ve drifted apart from long-time friends, or perhaps you’re struggling to make new ones. And let’s not even get started on romantic relationships—empty nest syndrome, anyone?
Relationships, whether with friends or partners, require intentional effort, especially during midlife when everything seems to be shifting. Today, I’m going to share some insights into why relationships can feel awkward or disconnected, how to deepen connections with your friends and partner, and specific ways to rebuild and strengthen those bonds.
Plus, I’ll introduce my Reconnecting With Your Partner After Kids workshop, which is designed to help empty nesters rekindle their relationship and navigate this new chapter of life.

Today, we’re focusing on something that often feels out of reach after a major life change or loss: rediscovering joy.
When we go through something life-altering—whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or any significant change—it’s easy to get lost in sadness, loneliness, and even confusion about what comes next. Trust me, I’ve been there. After my son and son-in-law passed away in 2021, I didn’t think I’d ever feel real joy again. And when I got divorced, I certainly didn’t see any joy in my future.
But here’s the truth: joy is still possible. It doesn’t happen overnight, and it requires intention, but it’s absolutely within reach. In today’s episode, I’ll talk about the feelings that come with loss or change, how to take small steps to rediscover joy, and how practices like journaling and self-reflection can help guide you.
As always, I’ll leave you with inspiration, motivation, and actionable ideas to help you take those first steps.

Today, I’m going to share my story of navigating loss, the symptoms of grief, why everyone’s process is different, and how you can start picking up the pieces—even in small, manageable ways. I’ll also share the tools and support that helped me move forward and find a new purpose, which ultimately inspired me to become a life coach and help other women navigate their own life transitions.
And as always, I have a free resource for you: my Grief Journal, which you can download to help process your emotions and take the first steps toward healing. You’ll find the link in the show notes or on my website.

Today, we’re diving into a topic that hits close to home for many of us: Empty Nest Syndrome. I’ve been there myself, and let me tell you, it’s an emotional rollercoaster. It sucks!
When my youngest left for college, I felt a mix of pride, sadness, and...honestly, a little bit of ‘What now?’ The house was quiet, the calendar was open, and I wasn’t sure what to do with myself. Sound familiar?
Well, you’re not alone, and you’re definitely in the right place. In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about the common feelings and challenges of becoming an empty nester, how to turn that sense of loss into an opportunity, and some exciting possibilities to fill your time and rediscover your purpose.
Plus, I’ve got a free gift for you—my Journal Prompts for Empty Nesters.

Let’s face it—midlife can be a time of major change. It can feel overwhelming whether you’re adjusting to an empty nest, navigating retirement, or starting over after a divorce.
But here’s the good news: Midlife is also the perfect time to redefine yourself. Why? Because you’ve gained wisdom, resilience, and a clearer sense of what matters.
And that's why setting intentions for the new year is so important.
