This week, Kayla and Liz follow the investigation of the BTK killer from the Netflix show, Catching Killers. BTK is one of the first true crime stories Kayla remembers being interested in. Catching Killers focuses on the process of investigation, not on the crime, criminals, or victims. It's the procedural side of true crime and gives a different perspective to the case. Because of how BTK was caught, Kayla and Liz also end up wondering where their cells are and if they agreed to them being there.

This season starts with an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, a show from Liz's childhood that contributed to her true crime love in adulthood. Not to ruin it for you, but they do not solve the mystery of Amanda Antoni's death during the episode, but the details of this case are curious and haunting. Kayla and Liz also ponder how one could move through life not thinking the worst and what that would be like.
