There's a false water baptism. There's a false Holy Spirit baptism. The Devil is impersonated because he's religious. Cain, his father was religious. As we've been through it. The seed of the serpent still goes on. And the seed of the woman through Christ, still goes on. "But no man can come except My Father draws him."
What Is The Holy Ghost Baptism-
The people so live--people can live a clean, holy life, not be sinful, adulterers, and drinkers, and liars, gamblers; they can live above that and still not with it. This is a--the age of life, personal Life of Christ, where the--the chemicals of His Body, the--the what was in Him; first, under Justification, the water baptism; second, under the new birth of Wesley, sanctification which cleanses; and thirdly, under the baptism of the Holy Spirit, putting that sanctified vessel into service... See? The word "sanctify" means--it's a compound Greek word which means "cleaned and set aside for service." Set aside for service, now the Holy Spirit puts it in service. See?
So if a man sets on the thought of just justification's all you have to have, he's wrong, wrong. He's got to be wrong. And then if the church who believes like the many of the Pentecostals, that the Holy Ghost is it, that's all, "just repent and get the Holy Ghost," that's still wrong, because you've got to get sanctification in there to cleanse it before the Holy Ghost comes in. If you don't, you leave out the Blood. See? And the new birth, as people talks that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the new birth. Now, that's wrong. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is different from the new birth. The new birth is when you're born again. But the Holy Ghost is when power comes into that birth for service. That's exact. See? The Holy Ghost is--baptized into the Holy Ghost.
You are believing unto Eternal Life, but when the Holy Spirit comes, It is Eternal Life. You're believing unto... You're begotten of the Spirit at sanctification, but never borned of the Spirit until the Holy Ghost comes in. That's correct. A baby's got life in the womb of the mother, little muscles are quivering; it's a life. But it's a different life when it breathes the breath of life into its nostrils. It's a different. That's what it is, it's...
My dear Methodist brother, and Pilgrim Holiness, and Nazarene, the baptism of the Holy Ghost is different from sanctification. Sanctification is the cleansing, which is preparation of life. But when the Holy Ghost comes, It is Life. Preparation is cleaning the vessel; the Holy Ghost is filling the vessel. "Sanctification" means "cleaned and set aside for service." The Holy Spirit is put it in service. You are the vessel that God's cleaned up.
We're at the end time. Listen. That's what the Holy Ghost does: the Holy Ghost by justification (See?), just a light shadow of It; the Holy Ghost by sanctification, a little deeper shadow of It; the Holy Ghost by the baptism of It, a deeper shadow; now the Holy Ghost by the restoration of Its very Person being in here, forming signs and wonders like He did at the beginning. Whew. Glory. Going to call me a holy-roller anyhow; you might as well just get started now.
That's what the Holy Spirit is. It's your Assurance; It's your Protection; It's your Witness; It's your Seal; It's your Sign, that I'm heaven bound. Don't care what the devil says, I'm heaven bound. Why? He sealed me; He gave It to me. He sealed me into His Kingdom, and I'm Glory bound. Let the winds blow; let Satan do what he wants to; God's done sealed me till the day of my redemption. Amen. That's what the Holy Ghost is. Oh, you should want It; I couldn't go on without It. So much could be said there, but I'm sure you know what I'm speaking of.
It's a Seal, It's a Sign, It's the Spirit of Jesus Christ in you, It's a Covenant, It's an Advocate, The Rest, Power from on high.
