AMONG the headlines for Tuesday, 18 May, 2021, the Health Ministry reported a total of 4,865 new Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, with Selangor rising to 1,743 cases in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a slew of new Covid-19 cases were also reported in several other states, with those being Sarawak with 512 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Kelantan.

Also, India's total COVID-19 infections surged past 25 million on Tuesday as a powerful cyclone Tauktae complicates the health crisis in Gujarat where the disease is spreading most quickly.

Pekebun rugi 30 tan tembikai tidak terjual akibat PKP

Pekebun tembikai di kampung Ubai, Kuantan, terpaksa menanggung kerugian apabila hampir 30 tan hasil tanamannya tidak dapat dipasarkan akibat Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) 10 Mei lalu.

Kadar inflasi di Amerika diumum meningkat kepada 4.2 peatus untuk tempoh 12 bulan. 

Dalam masa yang sama, jualan runcit China meningkat 17 peratus tahun ke tahun, namun di bawah 24 peratus seperti yang diunjurkan.
